Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 99

"You brat! You still know to come back?" The old man's loud and stern voice rang out along with the sound of his cane hitting the ground.

Zayn did a side step to avoid it and looked up again at the sky outside. It was not completely bright yet and it seemed that the old man had either just arrived not long ago or he had not slept all night and had been waiting for him.

"This is my home, so of course I’d know my way back," Zayn said nonchalantly.

"Look at all the sh*t you've done! You still dare to come back?!" The old man's voice had always overwhelmed Zayn’s in volume, but their intensity was comparable.

Zayn did not speak and lifted his eyes slightly to look at the old man. "I guess you didn’t come back because you were worried about my safety."

As expected, the old man immediately said, "Why should I worry about you? You bastard! Lindsey married into our family and how did you treat her, huh? You even forced the poor girl to commit suicide? Zayn Guggenheim, you really are something to use such dreadful means!"

The old man and a few old friends had met up to climb Mount Everest. Since he was old, he did not check on his phone much. He had been away for a few months and did not notice that his phone had been switched off. It was not until he was ready to come back and turned his phone back on that he found countless missed calls from Mrs. Wendy.

Since Mrs. Wendy could not get through to him, she sent him multiple messages. In short, she tried everything to get the old man back to speak for Lindsey.

When Zayn heard the old man saying that he forced Lindsey to commit suicide, his expression instantly turned solemn and cold.

The old man was not the slightest bit afraid of him and continued scolding Zayn. "I’m warning you! I genuinely like this child and think that she’s kind and simple-minded. She’s so much better than the wh*res you have out there! You can either stop fooling around or I’ll decide for you. You shouldn’t drag Lindsey on like this. I won’t force you both to be together anymore and you might as well just get divorced!"

Zayn sneered and said, "Whether we get divorced or not is between the two of us. Grandpa, there’s no need for you to interfere."

After he said that, Zayn strode upstairs. He knew that Lindsey was sleeping in their bedroom and was going to go to the guest room, but when he reached the door, he stopped and gently pushed the door open.

There was a small bulge on the bed. Zayn walked over quietly and saw the woman’s small face as he walked past.

Lindsey was probably not well-rested as her delicate eyebrows were frowning.

When Zayn saw her, the coldness and anger on his face instantly dissipated.

Why did so many people want them to get divorced?

Zayn did not think that he was wrong to treat Lindsey that way because she always ran from him no matter how well he treated her, so he simply locked her up.

Everyone thought that he was wrong though, so was he really at fault?

For the first time, President Guggenheim who was invincible in the business world felt self-doubt and self-denial in a relationship.

Lindsey felt that a large dog was biting her in her dream and she could not avoid it no matter what she did. In the end, she woke up in a daze only to find that it was dawn outside and fell asleep again in no time.

When she woke up again, she had no memory of the large dog in her dream.

Lindsey washed up and went downstairs to see Old Master Guggenheim sitting in the hall.

"Grandpa!" Lindsey ran down in surprise.
