Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 91

The strong smell of blood filled the room.

Lindsey subconsciously took a step backward.

The lights in the room were not switched on and the curtains were tightly drawn, giving the room a dark and depressing impression.

Zayn made his way to the bathroom and his tall figure disappeared into the darkness.

"Zayn Guggenheim! What are you trying to do?" Lindsey was reluctant to take another step.

The man was obviously not willing to let her leave like this. "Honey, come here."

The two syllables that came out of Zayn's mouth were so gentle and intimate that Lindsey could not help but feel a tingle in her heart.

However, once she thought that Zayn might have used the same tone with Jenny Lenig last night in another more romantic environment, Lindsey quickly extinguished the illusion that she should not even have in the first place.

"Zayn Guggenheim, stop the madness! I'm not going over there. I have something to tell you and I'll leave when I'm done."

"Tsk tsk...why are you always so disobedient?" Zayn looked distressed. In the next second, he appeared in front of Lindsey. She did not even see how he got in front of her, but she was suddenly tightly confined within his arms.

"You always need me to take matters into my own hands. Misbehavior needs to be punished."

Zayn's words were a double entendre. Unfortunately, Lindsey did not hear its underlying message.

"Zayn Guggenheim! Let go of me! I’m not your slave and I didn’t sell my body to you, so you have no right to lock me up like this!" Lindsey yelled as her eyes instantly turned red.

"Who said I'm locking you up? I'm not locking you up. Be a good girl and behave yourself. I just want you to see the gift I prepared for you." Zayn's voice was still soft, but in a room that reeked of blood, something just felt unsettling.

As he spoke, he led Lindsey to the bathroom door and reached out to press a switch on the wall. In an instant, a blinding white light lit up the entire space.

The smell was even more pungent when they stood at the doorway.

This sudden light made Lindsey close her eyes in discomfort and she could already guess where they were.

The man behind her did not rush Lindsey to open her eyes and waited patiently for a while. However, seeing that she was hesitant to open her eyes, he reached out and slowly propped Lindsey's eyelids open with his fingers.

"Look, I left this just for you."

Lindsey shook her head vigorously. "No! I don't want to see it! Let me go! I don't want to see it!"

She was close to fainting, but the man in front of her was not ready to let her leave just like that. He still kept his coaxing tone as he said, "Just one look. One look and I promise to let Shaun Juhl go."

Lindsey froze and only after a long time did she ask apprehensively, "Really?"

"Really." The man immediately replied without the slightest bit of doubt.

Lindsey took a deep breath and thought about her purpose in coming here. She tried to convince herself but found it hard to overcome this fear.

She had a close brush with death, but that did not make her brave.

Lindsey opened her eyes gently and first saw Zayn's face, then her neck was abruptly twisted at an angle by some external force and the scene in the bathroom caught her off guard.

The bathroom was filled with contrasting colors of white and red.

In that instant, Lindsey was so frightened that she could not even scream. She could only stare blankly at the whole room under the man's watchful gaze.
