Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 90

When Jenny Lenig saw the news early in the morning, she was dumbfounded.

The photos yesterday were her doing, but today's were not. She would not dare to conspire against Zayn.

Moreover, only she and Zayn knew that nothing happened between them last night and that Zayn did not even step foot into her house, so what was the meaning of this?

Also, Zayn just left this morning? What did that mean?

Another name popped up in her head almost instantly, and Jenny suddenly recalled that they lived in the same building.

"Ms. Lenig, Mr. Zanders is coming over later and the President asked you to tag along." The assistant's voice interrupted Jenny's thoughts.

"Oh, okay. Got it." Jenny casually responded.

The assistant finished speaking but she did not leave immediately. She looked at Jenny with an ambiguous look on her face and whispered, "Congratulations, Ms. Lenig."

Jenny froze for a moment before she realized what she meant by that. She forced herself to put on a smile to maintain her pride and replied, "Zayn was in a hurry to send me back and didn't notice that someone was following behind us."

As for why he was in a hurry, the assistant could guess for herself.

The assistant understood, smiled, and teased her before turning around to leave.

All morning, most of the staff in Denarius showed this ambiguous smile to Jenny, looking at her as if she was the future lady boss.

Although she felt a little uneasy, Jenny still enjoyed these looks, which gave her the illusion of her dream come true.

Moreover, getting the attention of the crowd made Jenny's vanity swell, so much so that she overlooked why Zayn would leak out such photos for everyone to talk about.

This was the first time Lindsey experienced the plight of movie stars. She was afraid of being recognized everywhere she went.

Lindsey found a random store and bought a new outfit as well as a pair of sunglasses and a face mask. She covered herself up well and hailed a taxi to the Denarius office.

The receptionist was the same as the last time Lindsey was there. When Lindsey said that she was looking for Zayn, the receptionist looked at her suspiciously and politely said, "Sorry, you can’t see the President without an appointment."

The receptionist glanced at her and Lindsey subconsciously lowered her head.

Suddenly, the crowded lobby became silent. Lindsey's heart moved and turned her head to see Zayn walking out of the elevator.

The person beside him was talking to him and Zayn looked sideways as he listened.

When Lindsey saw Jenny Lenig following behind him, she stopped in her tracks.

Just as Zayn’s group was about to disappear out the door, Lindsey returned to her senses. She was not sure if she was mistaken, but she thought she saw Zayn’s assistant glancing in her direction.

Before this, Lindsey had already called Mrs. Wendy and she said that Zayn had not gone home in the past two days. Mrs. Wendy did not ask her why she disappeared without saying anything, but only patiently urged her to take good care of herself.

Lindsey was so touched that she almost cried.

Since Zayn did not go back to the Guggenheim mansion, this might be her only chance today.

When she saw that Zayn was about to get into the car, Lindsey immediately rushed over despite everyone’s wary looks.

Lindsey used her shoulders to bump Jenny aside and even pushed Quentin away. When Zayn was about to get in the car, he saw a woman that was all covered up rushing into his arms.

The surrounding passersby were stunned as they only saw a thin figure running over as she pushed Zayn into the car.

Then, something more bizarre happened. Zayn actually pulled the strange woman into the car and closed the car door, shutting out everyone’s curious gazes.

Quentin managed to stabilize himself and stepped in front of the car. He smiled at the group and said, "I'm really sorry, Mr. Zanders. The President has some personal matters to deal with, so we’ll treat you to lunch another day as an apology to you."
