Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 585

"Mr. Evans, you’re still here?" Shaun was a little different from usual with his business partners.

Arthur's chin moved slightly. "I saw Ms. Juhl, so I just figured I’d stop to say hello."

It was clear that they were already done greeting each other, but Arthur still had not left. Shaun did not know what happened before he came out and politely said, "Then I'll send you downstairs."

"No need." Arthur made a gesture for Shaun to stay and gave Lindsey another glance, not knowing whether it was intentional or not. He then said to Shaun, "Mr. Juhl, I’m sure you can see my sincerity in this cooperation. I hope that we can become great partners."

When it came to business, Shaun could not say much, so he had to look serious as he said perfunctorily, "I’m also looking forward to it."

After sending Arthur away, Shaun asked Lindsey to go into his office first. "There's a document on the table, so you can take a look at it first. By the way, Yvette’s in the bedroom, so you can ask her to come out."

Earlier, Yvette came over just in time when Arthur arrived, so Shaun temporarily asked Yvette to stay in the bedroom inside his office. Denarius' people were still at a meeting room with Shaun’s assistant as they waited for Shaun’s arrival, so he had to go over to take a look.

Seeing how busy he was, Lindsey gestured for him to go ahead and not to worry.

Shaun left with ease. When Lindsey pushed the door open to the office, Yvette already came out. When she saw Lindsey, a hint of relief flashed across her face. "Lindsey!"

Lindsey was not surprised by Yvette and Shaun's clinginess to each other. Yvette probably came over to see Shaun because he had been so busy lately.

"My brother told me to take a look at a document," Lindsey explained to Yvette while she picked up the file on the table.

The soundproofing of the bedroom was pretty good, but Yvette probably knew what was going on. Yvette nodded. "Then read it first. I'll head out."

"Don't rush." Lindsey withdrew her gaze from the documents. "Didn't you just come not long ago?"

Yvette gathered her things while she said, "It's fine. Shaun’s so busy, so I shouldn't bother him."

They were already familiar with each other and there was nothing they could not talk about. Before Yvette left, she left a sticky note and took the lunch box on the table with her. Lindsey guessed that Yvette was probably here to eat with Shaun.

When she was left alone in the office, Lindsey looked at the document seriously.

This was obviously done by Arthur's staff. There was no extra nonsense as they stated straightforwardly that they could invest in Hemera. The revenue would be split according to their investment ratio. Not only that, but they would also provide additional technical support.

Shaun already mentioned all of this last time. Lindsey continued to read it and found that in addition to this, Evans Corporation would also help Hemera branch out into the Danish market.

This offer was not just tempting, it was simply free money!

After Lindsey read through the whole thing, she really could not find anything that Arthur could benefit from. Was this really a show of goodwill for Dezi’s sake?

This thought suddenly came to mind, which made Lindsey a little confused.

Even though they said it was for Dezi, all of Dezi's assets were managed by Lindsey at the moment, so it could also be considered that it was given to Lindsey.

A few days ago, the image of the indifferent man standing beside another woman asking her to leave the ward came to her mind vividly. Lindsey suddenly felt like someone poured a bucket of cold water over her that drenched her from head to toe. Even her heart turned cold.

Was Zayn trying to compensate her?

Lindsey’s eyes suddenly grew cold. Shaun asked incomprehensibly, “What’s wrong?”

She shook her head, "Nothing."

Lindsey did not tell Shaun what happened that day at the hospital because there was no need to. When she bumped into Soren, she did not ask him what happened to the kidnapper that had been sent to the police station. Luckily, no one bothered her these days.

Shaun looked at Lindsey suspiciously. Lindsey avoided his serious gaze and discussed business. "So now we have two choices, Arthur and Denarius."

Both sides had their pros and cons.

Arthur not only had the technology and financial means to help them get through the immediate difficulties, but he also would not charge them extra for his technology. On the other hand, Denarius only provided technology and was quite specific on who these proceeds would go to, Shaun's nephew.

The winner between them was just too obvious.
