Zayn Guggenheim raised his eyes to look at Jenny Lenig and said, "I remember. You’ll find someone suited for you. I'm already married."
Jenny shouted, "No, Zayn, you don't love her! You're only doing this to keep an eye on her, right? Don't you hate her the most?"
Zayn got annoyed and the warmth he had earlier disappeared. He did not like people shouting in front of him.
He subconsciously thought of Lindsey again. Every time she was angry with him, she was calm and restrained. Even if she lost control, she would not make such a screeching sound.
Zayn realized that he was thinking about that woman again and felt more irritated. "That’s enough."
Jenny was taken aback by his sudden impatience and coldness. These days, Zayn often showed her this expression. She thought that he would be nicer to her today.
She felt hatred for Lindsey and thought, ‘It’s all because of that b*tch!’
"Our affairs have nothing to do with you," Zayn said indifferently. His voice was cold and emotionless as he added, "Put down the documents and leave."
After saying that, he ignored the red-eyed Jenny and put his attention to the documents in his hand.
Jenny stomped her feet, but she was still a bit afraid of him, then reluctantly walked out.
At that time, Lindsey, who was sitting at the doorway, was a living target.
Jenny was frustrated and felt even more annoyed when she saw Lindsey. She wanted to go over and find fault with Lindsey. However, thinking that Zayn would see everything through that glass panel, Jenny unwillingly held back her emotions.
Zayn’s attitude towards her was getting worse and her tricks were not as useful as it was at the beginning. Moreover, thinking about what happened before, Jenny felt a little guilty and did not dare to be too reckless.
If Jenny could not make a move on Lindsey at the office, it did not mean that she could not do anything to her outside.
Jenny managed to block Lindsey when she got off work and got to the lobby.
"Ms. Juhl, let's talk." Jenny crossed her arms and stood in front of Lindsey. There was no longer a trace of her red-rimmed eyes from earlier and her face was full of condescending smugness.
"We have nothing to talk about." Lindsey walked around her and tried to leave.
"Zayn mentioned you today. Don’t you want to know what we talked about?"
Lindsey raised her eyebrows. She was a few centimeters taller than Jenny, so she still did not look short standing in front of Jenny, who was wearing high heels at the time.
"I’m not interested!"
Lindsey was decisive and resolute.
Jenny was furious, but she did not show it. She still carried the same overbearing and arrogant look as she said, "I asked Zayn why he gave you such a desk. Guess what he said? He said that only a cheap person like you is worthy of sitting in that place. Also, Zayn said that once Grandpa gave him the absolute power to the company, he’ll divorce you."
After saying that, Jenny laughed.
"Ms. Lenig, are you still dreaming?" Lindsey looked at Jenny like she was a fool and continued word by word, "If Zayn really said that, then I’ll congratulate you. However, as long as we don’t get a divorce, you’ll never be Mrs. Guggenheim!"
Seeing Jenny’s change in expression, Lindsey smiled charmingly and said, "Didn’t you run out of the office in tears this afternoon? Just a little advice for you. It's easy to lie to others, but tough to deceive yourself."
After saying that, she did not want to continue watching Jenny’s act. She went around Jenny and hailed a taxi, then disappeared in an instant.
Once Lindsey knew that she was out of sight, her strong front finally collapsed.
