Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 521

Dezi liked being carried by Zayn because Zayn was a little taller than everyone else, so when he carried Dezi, it completely changed the little boy’s perspective. Dezi would instantly feel that he was not a short little boy, but a grown-up.

Zayn clearly felt bad that he was absent for half an hour prior to this. After carrying Dezi for a while, he even let Dezi sit on his shoulders like the other kids and their dads.

The man who had absolute authority in the office was now being ridden by his own son on the shoulders. On the contrary, Zayn smiled with immense satisfaction.

Somehow, Lindsey could not resist snapping a few photos of Dezi and Zayn. It was a candid picture, but she could feel the warmth between the father and son pair through the screen.

Lindsey watched them for a while. The sound of cheerful kid’s music was in the background and the two most important people in her life were right in front of her.

"It's his turn to come on stage later," the kindergarten’s nanny said. Lindsey then got up and pulled Dezi down from Zayn’s shoulders. She gently wiped off the small beads of sweat on Dezi’s forehead. She then casually patted Zayn's chest with the leftover tissues in her hand without looking at him and muttered, "You only know how to spoil him."

Lindsey then held Dezi’s hand and led him inside. As they walked away, Lindsey bent down and said something to Dezi. Dezi just nodded incessantly. Zayn looked at the dirty tissue in his hand and had a light in his eyes while he smiled.

After the performance, the teacher allowed the parents to accompany their children to do a quiz to show the parents their children’s learning progress during this time.

Since Dezi could not speak, he sat out on this quiz.

After they came out of the kindergarten, it was already evening. Zayn held the child in his arms and gently pinched the tip of his nose. "Are you hungry? Daddy will take you to dinner, okay?"

Lindsey wanted to refuse, but seeing Dezi nodding excitedly, she could not bring herself to say no and finally said, "Then I'll go back first..."

"Let’s go together. I don’t know what Dezi likes to eat now. If you go, he’ll feel more comfortable." Zayn interrupted her words with a valid reason.

Dezi looked at Lindsey with glistening eyes and reached out to take her hand.

Lindsey gently exhaled and smiled reluctantly. "Okay."

After saying that, she reached out and tried to take Dezi from Zayn. "Come, Mommy will carry you to the car, then we’ll go for dinner with Daddy later."

However, Zayn did not let go. "My car is parked over there. I can just send you back later."

"No need." Lindsey refused. "I'll drive my car. Just send me the location."

Zayn's eyebrows furrowed slightly.

However, Lindsey was insistent. Zayn looked at her delicate but stubborn side profile and finally relaxed his eyebrows. "Okay, then you can drive us there."

Zayn said while he spotted Lindsey's car with unparalleled precision. He then walked over and added, "I'll get my driver to drive my car."

"Hey! Zayn Guggenheim!" Lindsey was speechless and could not curse at him in front of the child.

Zayn just pretended not to hear her and calmly took out his phone to inform his driver. “Follow the Madam’s car later.”

Lindsey was completely speechless. How could she keep her stance when her son was thinking of mutiny? In the end, Lindsey sat in the driver's seat while Zayn sat in the backseat and hugged Dezi as he whispered to him.

"There's no parking over here." Lindsey took a look outside the restaurant. At dinnertime, the restaurant’s parking was full.

After teasing her son, Lindsey avoided Zayn's gaze and held the boy’s hand. "Thanks for today. I'll take Dezi home."

She did not wait for Zayn's response and pulled Dezi's little hand, signaling him to follow her.

However, Dezi did not want to move and looked at Zayn expectantly while occasionally glancing at Lindsey.

Lindsey could not bear Dezi looking at her like that, so she bent down and explained to him seriously, "Daddy is busy. Look, it's getting dark, so we have to go home, so does Daddy."

Dezi still did not move. The smile on his face faded and only his eyes expressed his thoughts.

Zayn then leaned down and picked Dezi up. "Why are you always making things difficult for him?"

He did not mean to blame Lindsey and his tone was gentle.

However, Lindsey somehow felt that her heart was pricked and the scabbed wound began to bleed again, causing her expression to change in an instant.

Lindsey never wanted to make things difficult for her child. She did not want Dezi to always wait pathetically to meet his father, nor did she want her son to watch others with envious eyes whenever they saw other kids playing happily with their dads.

Was this all not Zayn’s own doing? Why did he suddenly ask her not to make things difficult for the child?

If Lindsey did not set boundaries for herself and her child, in the end, it would only embarrass all three of them.
