Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 496

The two ladies were extraordinarily good-looking, plus they had a nice figure. In the end, Yvette chose a pure white backless dress and Lindsey settled on a turquoise high slit dress.

Lindsey saw that Yvette’s dress was absolutely stunning on her. Lindsey always liked greenish colors and Yvette agreed that turquoise looked great on her.

However, Yvette’s dress was mercilessly rejected by Shaun after he finished his work and came to check on the ladies.

Shaun looked at their dresses and frowned. In the end, he let Lindsey off the hook. After all, it was her ex-husband's engagement ceremony, so she must look amazing.

However, he did not think much and rejected Yvette’s choice of gown.

When Shaun came in, Yvette was wearing the dress and Lindsey clearly saw the undisguised amazement in Shaun's eyes.

Yvette happily did a twirl and asked Shaun, "Does it look nice?"

She was not wearing makeup, but her skin was flawless and her features were exquisite. Her body had all the right curves and she looked great.

However, Shaun’s gaze fell on a large area of fair skin exposed on her back. He gritted his teeth and said, "No, pick another one."

The smile on Yvette’s face instantly faded and she became a little angry. "How is this not nice? Lindsey and I think it's nice, even Dezi thinks it's pretty!"

After saying that, she turned her head and smiled sweetly at Dezi, who looked up because he heard his name. "Dezi, do you think Auntie looks good in this dress?"

Dezi nodded very sincerely.

"What does he know?" Shaun frowned and dismissed Yvette’s struggle. He then walked to the rack of dresses and flipped through it. All the dresses were either showing the chest or back. Shaun frowned and put them back. After a long time, he finally found one to his liking and looked at it before handing it to Yvette. "Wear this."

It was a long-sleeved beige knee-length dress. This was the first dress that Yvette threw to the side when she was choosing the dresses. As a result, it was now stuffed back into her hands by Shaun. He looked frank and said, "This looks good."

Yvette looked disgusted by his choice and muttered, “Shaun Juhl! What kind of taste do you have? You might as well ask me to wear a burka like those married women in the Middle East!”

Shaun was unmoved and did not want to compromise. He took the dress off the hanger and said good-naturedly, "You don’t have to dress up as a married woman now, there will be opportunities later. You have such a good figure, so this will only look good on you. That dress exposed too much skin, how inappropriate...Listen to me and try this first. If it doesn’t look nice, then we’ll find something else, okay?"

Probably because his attitude was too nice, Yvette could not stay mad at Shaun. She pouted and finally went in to change reluctantly.

Lindsey was holding back her laughter and waited for Yvette to go in before teasing Shaun. "She’s not even your girlfriend yet. Brother, don’t you think your jealousy is a little out of line?"

At the mention of this, Shaun felt a little frustrated. Yvette had clearly changed her attitude about him, but she still did not want to accept him, so he still had to sneak around. Also, this girl became smarter and avoided him whenever she could.

Shaun did not really want to do anything to her. He just liked to tease her and watch her get angry just for the fun of it.

The beige dress wrapped around Yvette’s exquisite figure and fit her perfectly like it was made just for her, showing off all her curves. The hemline of the dress was about an inch above her knees, revealing her slim and straight calves. She looked absolutely stunning.

This dress was not pure beige. There was some embroidery with the same colored silk thread which made out an intricate pattern that was understated in a gorgeous way.

It showed off her innocence and femininity.

Yvette just thought that Lindsey was trying to console her. Lindsey pulled Yvette to the mirror and pointed to her reflection. “Look for yourself, isn’t it pretty?”

She looked up and froze for a moment. Yvette then turned to Shaun and said, “This is the first time I found out that you have a pretty good eye!"

"That's for sure." Shaun had one hand under his chin. After the initial surprise wore off, he said with some regret, "I think it's better if you don't attend."

‘She looks so good even when she wears such an ordinary dress...how am I supposed to stop other men’s prying eyes?’

It was impossible for Yvette not to attend the party. Since Shaun’s selection was not horrible, Yvette “reluctantly” agreed to wear it to the banquet. They then made an appointment with a stylist for the day of the banquet.

Lindsey was thinking that it might be too late to make an appointment, after all, she was now missing the prefix of Mrs. Guggenheim.

However, her worries were solved by Yvette and Shaun.
