Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 447

Even though Lindsey was so uncooperative, that did not stop Zayn from doing what he wanted. In the evening, Soren brought Sieben over and knocked on Lindsey's door.

"Madam," Soren said sternly.

On the other hand, Sieben had already pounced on her. "Lindsey!"

Lindsey pulled her hands off and stood to the side. "Come in first. Why did you come over? Have you eaten?"

"Yup."

"No."

Soren glanced at Sieben, who embarrassingly gestured with her pinky. "We ate, but just a little. I’m still not full."

After saying that, she looked at Lindsey with puppy dog eyes.

"Wait a sec, I’ll get Aunt Wendy to cook something delicious for you." Lindsey stroked her head, treating her like Little Dezi.

Sieben and Dezi quickly got together and played while Lindsey looked at Soren. "What is it this time?"

Her directness made Soren sweat a little, so he did not beat around the bush either and directly gave Lindsey what Zayn had passed to him earlier.

"The President asked me to pass this to you. Take a look." Soren gestured for her to take it.

Lindsey's heart jumped. Every time she heard Zayn's name, there was a stabbing pain in her heart. The numbing feeling made her depressed in an instant.

She reached out and took it. After seeing what was written on it, she was shocked and could barely close her mouth. "Assets distribution consent form?"

Soren nodded. "These are most of the President's assets. It’s stated in the divorce agreement that these are for you and the child. Denarius has resumed operations as well. Originally, the lawyer is supposed to explain this to both parties, but because you weren’t present, the President prepared this and had it verified with a lawyer, so this agreement is legally binding."

"What?" Lindsey was not the slightest bit delighted. "Is Zayn crazy?"

She just took a cursory glance at it. All the assets listed here were conservatively estimated to be several billions of dollars, including many subsidiaries under Zayn's name and many other liquidable assets. All of this was for her and Dezi?

"He’s not crazy," Soren replied earnestly. "This is already written in the divorce agreement. You deserve this."

"What do you mean I deserve this?" Lindsey simply felt irritated and frowned. "Zayn doesn’t want anything? How generous of him! Why didn’t he ever consider whether I want it or not?"

Soren cursed Quentin in his heart. Quentin had angered Zayn somehow. This was originally Quentin’s task, but it fell on him.

The current Lindsey was not like her previous self and made things difficult for them.

It was not that Lindsey purposely wanted to make things difficult for Soren. She was just too shocked. She did not even read the divorce agreement when she signed it last time. She was simply too devastated at that time to care. Now that she thought about it, she never imagined that Zayn would be this generous.

Lindsey pushed away the paper in her hands and helplessly said, “I don’t want this. Take it back to Zayn.”

"Madam, it’s already written on the divorce agreement."

In the end, Zayn spoke first. His voice sounded the same as before. It was just a little tense. "What is it?"

Lindsey’s wits that flew out of her returned in an instant. She paused for a bit. When she spoke, she noticed that her voice was hoarse and even trembled a little.

"I don't need any assets from you. Get your lawyer to take it back."

There was a light cough from the phone, then Zayn's voice sounded, "It’s clearly written in the divorce agreement, so I have no right to take it back. They’re already yours."

The conversation between the two people was very calm.

This calmness was totally different from Lindsey's hysterical appearance that day and also from Zayn staying up all night to drink away his sorrows.

They were like strangers who were courteous during a discussion as they each stuck to their own views over this matter.

"I really don't want it. I can't spend much money with Dezi anyway, and I don't have time to take care of the company. I don't want these things. Don't make it difficult for me."

Lindsey grasped the pillow in her hand tighter. She could no longer maintain her calm tone and only she knew that her heart was pounding.

Zayn answered very quickly as he pretended not to hear the change in her voice. Only his clenched fingers revealed his emotions. "There are people taking care of those companies, so you don’t need to do much. As for the rest, you can manage it if you like, or don’t if you’re not willing to. It doesn’t matter."

By the end of it, his voice was tender and sounded a little doting. Lindsey was stunned and almost thought that they were not divorced.
