Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 377

Shaun was caught off guard by Zayn’s voice. Everyone was looking at Shaun for a while.

He pursed his lips. “Generally, children will cry when they’re unhappy, but this little guy only knows how to glare at others viciously and doesn't make a sound.”

Everyone in the room was silent for a moment.

Zayn looked at the boy's fair and tender face and his tiny feet without any shoes or socks.

He really looked so tiny and pitiful.

"If he can't speak, then can he understand us?" Yvette asked tentatively. Then, she used the gentlest voice she had and said to the little one, "Can you understand me?"

There was still no response.

Yvette sighed in frustration.

The person who was tasked to buy the boy’s clothes soon came back with several sets of clothes and shoes. He even got socks, hats, pajamas, and so on.

It was already bedtime, so they took out a set of pajamas and got the boy dressed.

As the only abled woman there, Yvette was entrusted with the task of getting him changed, but as soon as she approached, the well-behaved handsome boy suddenly bared his teeth and glared at her.

Yvette stopped in her tracks.

"I’ll help you get changed, okay?" Yvette asked in a small voice.

Unfortunately, the boy was not moved.

"I'll do it." Shaun took the pajamas with little green dinosaur prints from Yvette and rolled up his sleeves. His clothes were still drenched, but it did not dampen his image of an elegant man one bit.

Yvette clenched her teeth, but she had to admit that Shaun’s gentleman demeanor was indeed quite deceptive.

She on the other hand...Yvette looked at her long manicured nails and secretly said to herself that she would cut them as soon as she got home.

Sieben and Soren were watching from the side. Sieben was eager to go forward, but Soren quickly pulled her back. He was afraid that Sieben would want to play with the boy without any regard.

She withdrew her hand aggrievedly and looked at the boy longingly.

Shaun thought he was already acquainted with the boy since the bath earlier and flashed a charming smile. He walked forward with the pajamas and gently coaxed him. “Come here, I’ll help you get changed, okay?”

However, that bath earlier was apparently not a fond memory for the boy. When Shaun approached, the boy still did not accept him.

"You won’t let me help you?" Shaun's tone was surprisingly a bit aggrieved. Yvette watched from the side with a sigh.

Why did she have a feeling that Shaun was getting more persistent?

In the end, Zayn, who was sitting on the side, asked the little thing beside him without an expression, "Who do you want to help you then? Point to one, or else I won't let you see the Auntie upstairs and will make you sit here all night."

No one knew which part of Zayn’s ultimatum moved the child beside him. The boy actually raised his head to look at Zayn.

Zayn also tilted his head to look at him. In his entire life, Zayn had never dealt with children before, so he was a little impatient, a little curious, and a little...expectant.

After looking at Zayn for a while, just when everyone thought the kid would not answer, the handsome little statue slowly reached out his hand and hesitantly pointed his fair and short fingers to the man in front of him - Zayn Guggenheim.

Surprisingly, the child raised his hand to pick up the spoon inside the bowl and ate it by himself, one bite at a time.

His tiny hand also wanted to hold the bowl himself as he was probably afraid that Zayn would take it away again when he ate halfway.

The chicken soup smelled delicious and the little one was obviously starving because he ate so fast and got it all over his mouth.

This time, Zayn also took the bowl away halfway through and even stretched out a finger to prop the boy's chin up so that he would not get his pajamas dirty.

Yvette, who had been eager to help, finally could not resist and squatted down to wipe the remains from the boy's mouth.

The excitement in Yvette’s eyes was so obvious.

Girls usually could not resist cute things. The little guy did not struggle this time probably because he knew that this group of people were not bad guys.

Zayn allowed the boy to eat two more pieces of biscuits before he stopped him again.

The little boy's nose was all scrunched up and Yvette could not help but speak for him, "Just let him eat a little more."

"Children can't eat too much at night." Zayn was completely unmoved.

After saying that, Zayn looked up and swept them a glance. "Why aren't you guys leaving?"

The four people around him were speechless. They just got distracted by this cute little thing...

In the end, because it was already late, Yvette and Shaun simply stayed in the guest room, while Soren took Sieben back to their villa.
