The garden at the villa was really beautiful. Zayn must have found a designer to redesign the garden, then got someone to plant a variety of expensive and exotic flowers and plants so that anyone would look at the landscape and be in a good mood.
Ginny breathed in the fresh scent of flowers and gently squinted with joy.
Lindsey also looked at the landscape, but she did not feel any excitement.
Her gaze unconsciously landed on Ginny’s belly again. This was not the first time Lindsey met Terence Moeller. She knew of the relationship between Terence and Ginny when she was rescued by Liam and Allie Wilford back then.
Feeling Lindsey's gaze, Ginny let out a bitter laugh. "He’s an accident."
Lindsey looked at her with confusion like she did not understand what Ginny meant.
Ginny explained, “Mr. Moeller and I never thought that we’d have a kid. When I found out, it was already pretty late and his parents also knew about it, so I couldn’t get an abortion.”
"Don't get an abortion." Only then did Lindsey react to what Ginny meant and spoke faster than she could think.
"When I first got pregnant, I didn't want to keep the baby either, but then I realized that it was really interesting to feel him growing slowly in my womb." Lindsey's gaze felt distant as she looked into the void and was deep in thought.
Lindsey did not look too good, so Ginny wanted to change the subject, but Lindsey suddenly said, "You and Mr. Moeller...why do you sound like strangers?"
If Lindsey remembered correctly, when she returned to the states, Terence Moeller was about to marry Ginny.
When Lindsey asked about this, Ginny's eyes suddenly turned cold. "You know that he has someone else that he loves, so how can he truly marry me?"
"He’s still thinking about that fiancee of his who married his brother?" Lindsey was surprised.
Ginny sneered and raised her hand to pluck a small pink flower. She was disgusted just thinking about that woman's pitiful look. Terence also made her feel repulsed. Both of them were the biggest fakers she knew.
"The fourth son of the Moeller family is notorious for his infatuation. This is known throughout the whole of Germany." Lindsey was not sure if Ginny’s words were complimentary or sarcastic, but to Lindsey, they did not have a good connotation.
"What about the child?" Lindsey looked at Ginny and was very worried.
Ginny was forced to be with Terence, but Lindsey could see that Ginny still had feelings for him. Perhaps Ginny did not realize it herself. As for Terence, Lindsey could never figure him out, so she did not know how he felt about Ginny.
If Terence was still infatuated with his ex-fiancée, what would happen to Ginny and the child once it was born?
Ginny could see Lindsey’s concern and patted the back of her hand. "Don't worry, it’s my child too, so I won't let it grow up in that cannibalistic place."
When she said this, the look on her face was unprecedentedly cold.
Every girl who had naive fantasies about the world would grow up quickly after being pounded hard by reality. They would put away their fantasies and ignorance and put on indestructible armor. They would also hold weapons just to protect the people they love in this world full of injustice.
Lindsey did not know much about the Moeller family, but she had also heard about its great reputation.
She heard that every woman that married the Moeller family's sons were carefully selected and were of great help to the family. It was for this reason that Lindsey's heart ached for Ginny.
The women in the Moeller family were all backed by their maternal family, but Ginny no longer had a family.
Then again, if Ginny’s parents were still alive, they would not be willing to watch their daughter become a mistress to another man just to be treated as a birthing machine.
Lindsey held Ginny's hand and said solemnly, "Do whatever you want and I’ll do my best to help you."
Ginny just laughed and exhaled deeply. "Thanks."
All the things that she had deliberately suppressed herself from thinking about these days came flooding back in an instant.
"Baby...my baby!" Lindsey's soul felt like she had entered another world. She roared and shouted from the bottom of her heart as she looked around blankly, but she did not see any hope.
"Lindsey!" Ginny shouted. When Lindsey still did not respond she patted Lindsey with a worried look on her face.
Lindsey snapped back to her senses. The bottom of her eyes was red and she looked at Ginny with some confusion.
Ginny looked at Lindsey with concern and moved closer to her. She held Lindsey’s arm and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Lindsey looked at Ginny, then looked at her bulging belly and revealed a hideous forced smile. "Nothing, I...I'm just a little distracted. I'm fine."
Seeing that she was not telling the truth, Ginny probably guessed that it was related to the baby and sighed in her heart.
She sat with Lindsey for a while longer, but Lindsey was not at all in her element and wandered off from time to time. Her gaze was also strange. Ginny was really worried about Lindsey. When she left, she pulled Zayn aside and whispered to him to pay more attention to Lindsey because Lindsey was not in the right mental state.
In fact, without Ginny’s reminder, Zayn's attention was all on Lindsey and he had already noticed it.
After saying their goodbyes, Ginny and Terence got into their car.
Lindsey did not turn around until their car was out of sight. She was held by Zayn as they walked back in, side by side.
Zayn noticed her abnormality but did not ask her because he knew that Lindsey would not tell him even if he asked.
On the other hand, Ginny, who had just sat in the car, was pulled into Terence’s arms.
