Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 345

Lindsey laid on the bed. The bulge on her belly was obvious now. She could see a bump under the blanket when lying down. Lindsey looked at it for a while and thought that it was really cute.

She gently patted her belly through the blanket like she was slapping a basketball. "Can you hear Mommy?"

"I know you can't hear me." Lindsey said to herself, "You’ll only start moving at six months, huh? Please be gentle when you say hello to me. Otherwise, when you’re born, Mommy will spank your little butt. Daddy will too."

Lindsey pretended to be fierce, but after she said that, she held her belly and laughed. She laughed so hard that the corners of her eyes became red.

"Will you be angry with Mommy? Well, it doesn’t matter, because I'm your mother. But I guess you won't remember what I said. Look at you, such a pitiful little thing. Mommy will never hit you, okay?"

Lindsey muttered to herself as if the fetus in her womb could really hear her. She rambled on without logic.

Her voice was a bit hoarse and the tip of her nose tingled. Lindsey finally stopped talking and gently touched her belly. "Go to sleep. Mommy’s going to find Daddy in my dreams. Be a good baby and I’ll see you tomorrow."

Lindsey closed her eyes and let the drops of tears at the corner of her eyes run down her cheeks and past her ears.

However, she had not fallen asleep yet when she suddenly heard the exact same alarm as the afternoon from outside.

"There's another fire?" Lindsey said to herself.

She sat up and listened carefully. She could hear loud voices interspersed with the alarm.

The windows in Lindsey's room were sealed, so she went to the window and pulled the curtains open to take a look. She saw that outside was brightly lit and downstairs was densely packed with people.

"Why are there so many people?" Lindsey was on a high floor, so she could not see who was below clearly, but the answer in her heart was crying out.

"Baby, could it be Daddy?" Lindsey rubbed her belly. "Did he find us?"

Lindsey looked extremely excited and felt that her heart had never beaten this fast before. The name, "Zayn Guggenheim", kept resounding in Lindsey's mind.

Zayn and Liam’s people got into a fight downstairs and Lindsey could feel the tension in the atmosphere from such a large distance.

The door behind her was suddenly pushed open. Lindsey subconsciously turned her head and was startled.

The person who came in was one of Liam’s men. Lindsey was dragged back and locked up by him earlier.

"Move!" The man shouted to Lindsey in a rough voice and wanted to drag Lindsey by the arm.

Lindsey subconsciously glanced downstairs, then avoided the man's grip and said in a cold voice, "Don't touch me!"

The man glared at Lindsey and did not care to talk to her. He just dragged her out.

The man's hand was like an iron fist and Lindsey could not break free, so she used her other hand to pound the back of his hand. "Let go of me! Let go!"

The man was unfazed and he was very strong. Lindsey was anxious and lowered her head to bite down on him.

"Ah!" The man squealed like a pig and loosened his grip.

Lindsey immediately retreated and took the opportunity to run towards the door.

This all happened in a split second. Lindsey paused in her footsteps and subconsciously turned back. Suddenly, a hard slap landed on her face.

The man who wanted to take Lindsey away at the beginning pulled Lindsey's hair with one hand and cursed at her, "B*tch! How dare you bite me?!"

Lindsey was like a rag doll. When she got slapped, her head tilted to the side and everything turned dark for a moment as she heard a buzzing sound in her ears.

If it weren't for the man yanking her hair, Lindsey would have fallen to the ground.

It took a few seconds before Lindsey felt the pain on her face. It felt hot like her cheek was being branded with a hot iron.

Lindsey's mind was in a mess and she subconsciously murmured, "It hurts so much..."

"B*tch! How dare you say it hurts? Watch how I beat you up!" The man said and raised his hand wanting to hit Lindsey again.

Lindsey was almost unconscious and did not even dodge.

The person who followed Lindsey reached out and stopped the man’s hand. "Forget it. Our task is more important. If anything happens to her, the Young Master won’t let you get away with it."

As he said this, he glanced at Lindsey. That slap already made half of Lindsey’s face swollen. In contrast with the other half of her face, it looked pretty hideous.

"Hmph!" The man who hit Lindsey flung his hand away and glared at Lindsey fiercely. He was persuaded and did not continue to slap her. He then pulled Lindsey towards the bottom of the stairs. "Move it! Don’t play any tricks!"

Lindsey’s ears were buzzing and she could not even hear what he said. Her scalp and cheek were in extreme pain.
