Zayn turned around. His expression was indistinct.
Allie gulped. This was the first time she had personally felt the ruthlessness of the man in front of her. To him, her love was a mere joke. In his eyes, her life might not even compare to his beloved woman’s finger.
"I can help you...save Lindsey." The strong desire for survival and hatred made Allie blurt out these words.
She was not an outcast. She wanted to prove to Zayn and Liam that abandoning her for two sickly women was their biggest mistake.
The look in her eyes did not escape Zayn's eyes. He sneered. "I thought you didn't know where she was?"
"Just because I don't know now doesn't mean I won't find out when I go out."
Allie knew that Lindsey was everything to Zayn. This was her only bargaining chip and the only thing that Zayn would budge on.
This knowledge made her feel sad and humiliated.
"I'm sorry." Zayn looked so sincere and honest. "Given your past lies, there’s no way I can believe you."
After saying that, he turned around to leave. Behind him, Allie's voice was hysterical as she shouted, "You must believe me! I also want Sophie to die!"
Allie said this without much thought probably because she knew that once Zayn left, her life might end at that moment. Her thoughts also became incomparably clear in an instant.
"My parents don't really like Sophie, and neither do I. If it weren't for her tonight, my brother wouldn't have left me alone. I hate her! I don't want her to live."
When she said the word, “hate”, Allie did not even notice that she gritted her teeth. All the love and hatred she had for Sophie was probably not built up overnight. She had long been discontented with Sophie.
Zayn came out from the small room where Allie was kept. Zion followed Zayn and asked in a low voice, "President, is Allie Wilford trustworthy?"
"She can’t be trusted!" Zayn replied without thinking.
Zion did not understand. "Then you..."
Zayn suddenly stopped in his tracks. For the first time, he missed Quentin who had a silly smile on his face all day. However, probably because Zion had been doing a good job, Zayn actually patiently explained to him.
"Allie Wilford can't be trusted, but she’s Liam Wilford's sister and she has already developed a distrust for her own brother, so we can still use her in many ways."
Zion felt some chills from Zayn’s gentle voice.
Allie was nestled in the corner. No matter what, at least she got to stay alive.
The words Zayn said reverberated in her ears. The strange thing was, she was obviously panicked earlier, yet she still remembered what he said clearly.
She moved her jaw slightly. Her eyes were bloodshot, but not even a single tear fell from her eyes.
Allie understood from the time she was a teenager that crying was useless.
When Quentin spoke with Zayn, his background was finally no longer the luxuriously decorated office that could compare to a hotel.
The surrounding pale furnishings made Zayn frown. "Where are you?"
"The hospital." Quentin raised the phone high so that Zayn could see more clearly. He was at the corridor in front of the ward where Shaun and Sieben were in.
The longest time he woke up was probably last night. When Yvette was wiping his hands, she suddenly saw Shaun's eyelids move.
Then, there was a small slit in those eyes.
Yvette did not know if Shaun was really awake at that moment, or if it was just her illusion, but she felt that Shaun smiled at her.
In the blink of an eye, the smile disappeared and his eyes closed again, leaving only the unconscious movement of his lips.
Yvette moved in closer and wanted to hear what he had to say. “What are you saying? Try to speak louder. I can’t hear you now. Shaun, can you open your eyes?”
By the end of it, Yvette was already in tears. A teardrop fell on Shaun's eyelid. His lips moved again, but there was no sound and no one knew what he wanted to say.
When Soren came out of the ward, Quentin had not left yet. The hospital was heated, so it did not feel cold at all. Quentin hung his coat on his arm and raised an eyebrow at Soren.
Shaun was “awake”, but Sieben still had no signs of waking up. There was only a slight improvement in her condition that she would not crash from time to time like the beginning.
"The President called just now." Quentin raised his phone. "They caught Allie Wilford unintentionally. The President wants to hand her over to you."
Soren's rigid side face moved slightly. His eyes were still very cold. He thought about it and shook his head. He also raised his eyebrows and looked at Quentin. "Allie Wilford can be exchanged for the Young Madam."
"Then you’re not taking revenge?" Quentin intentionally looked at the ward behind them.
Soren was probably amused by his words and smirked. "There’ll be plenty of opportunities."
