Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 294

Zion placed Zayn’s dinner on the table and went to Zayn's side. He took out his phone to display the local map and zoomed in to an area he had circled earlier. "President, take a look."

Zayn looked at the map and Zion continued, "Although I didn’t see Liam Wilford himself, I’m sure that he hid someone in this place. Even if it's not the Young Madam, it must be someone very important to him."

They were clear who that important person to Liam Wilford was.

The corners of Zayn's lips curled up in a playful smile. "A deserted beach...that's interesting."

Zion had reported what happened in the afternoon over the phone, so Zayn was just waiting for him to return. He pondered for a moment and said decisively, "Since that’s the case, then go over tonight to check it out."

Zayn said it so lightly, but Zion broke out in cold sweat.

There was no prior preparation nor serious thought about it. This was just a little hint and Zayn wanted to rush over directly.

Zion did not know whether Zayn was really confident, or if Zayn had always been so impulsive. However, since Zayn arrived, the few things he had done were pretty crazy.

Thinking of this, Zion had the illusion that this man should be like this. All the thinking and reasoning in this world were broken by him. That was why he could achieve this unique status and power.

Looking at Zayn sitting at the table eating elegantly, Zion actually felt honored to be in the presence of this man.

In fact, Zion did not understand Zayn's inner torment and eagerness. Zayn could not afford any consequences of losing Lindsey, nor could he accept anything happening to Lindsey or their child just because he did not act fast enough or because of his own mistakes.

Zayn hated the feeling that the lives of those he cared about were being held by someone else yet he could not do anything about it.

He controlled a business empire, but he could not even protect his wife and child.

No calm, rational, carefully thought-out plan would be better than seeing Lindsey well and intact in his arms. He just wanted to see her as soon as possible.

Lindsey was his hope and purpose. She was the happiness that he must hold on to at all costs.

No one could see what was underneath Zayn’s calm facade. It was a deeply rooted madness and obsession.

Zayn swallowed the food in his mouth and said, "Get a good swimmer to check it out first."

"Yes, sir." This way was much safer.

......

Sophie slept a lot in the afternoon, so she did not feel sleepy after dinner.

Allie did not come down for dinner, so Sophie asked the maids what happened. The maids were worried about Sophie’s health, so they did not dare to tell the truth and only said that Allie was in a bad mood because she was scolded by Liam.

Sophie took a glass of milk and gently knocked on Allie's door. After a long time, there was a response from inside, "Who is it?"

Her tone was harsh.

"Allie, it's me. Will you open the door? Let’s chat."

Sophie's voice was very light and sounded nice to others. Her character was also gentle and kind. Usually, Allie liked to talk to her.

They did not chat about the same things. Allie liked to talk about the season's latest fashion, while Sophie loved literature and musicals as well as a variety of plays.

Sophie's childhood dream was to become a famous actress.

However, due to her health condition, she could not bear the high-intensity life of an actor. In the end, she was just like a trapped canary.

Sophie did not know this, but he was very clear. The road to this beach had been blocked and if someone jumped into the sea, they would not be able to get here. Even if they were washed over, since they sought death, there was no need for them to be rescued.

Since there were two people, how loving were they to be able to float over together?

At the same time, Jason quickly reported the situation to Liam Wilford.

Two hours later, Jackson found nothing but half a footprint. He grimaced and received the order from Liam to move the Madam overnight.

On the other hand, Zion would never have thought that the reason why the people he sent failed their mission was because of Sophie's unusually sharp eyes.

The two "scouts" hurriedly stripped off their diving suits and threw them into the car. Although their bodies were not drenched, they still had a fishy smell.

"We just came ashore and gave a signal to the others, but suddenly, there were sounds of footsteps coming from the front."

The man who spoke lowered his head with some frustration. "We were really careful and didn't venture out all the way. We found a place with a small reef and prepared to go onshore, but we didn't expect to be discovered."

Zion knew how cautious they were. Although he did not know which part of the plan went wrong, he still punished them.

Zayn did not say anything, but his indifferent face looked cold as he stared out the window and said, "Too bright."

No one understood what Zayn meant by that, and he did not intend to explain to them.

"Come with me."

After he said that, Zayn stood up. He was dressed nicely and had not slept at this hour. Zion thought that Zayn was worried about the scouts, but it looked like Zayn was ready to go out.
