Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 291

Liam’s driver was vigilant and looked through the rearview mirror to determine that no suspicious people were following them before he carefully turned the steering wheel.

Zion did not dare to follow too closely and kept several cars between them. When he saw Liam’s car turn the corner, he subconsciously wanted to follow, but he saw that the road was sparsely populated, so he dismissed the idea.

He memorized the license plate number and searched for where this road led to. To his surprise, the map showed that it was a deserted beach.

Zion, who was ready to turn the car around, looked around and parked the car nearby. He then found a cafe on the side of the road and sat by the window seat.

"Sophie, I'm here." Liam looked at the small and beautiful seaside villa. His voice was delighted as he said, "Don't come out. I'll go in by myself."

The car drove into the courtyard of the seaside villa. A man dressed casually and wearing sunglasses pushed the car door open and got off.

Before he could get close, he saw the double doors slowly opening in front of him.

A smile appeared on his face. Sophie did not come out to welcome him, but this was her way to express her welcome.

Liam walked into the bright and quiet villa. It was cozy and elegant, which showed that the owner was very tasteful.

Just as Liam entered the door, he saw a figure darting down from the upper floor and jumped into his arms.

"Will it be dangerous for you to come here?" Sophie hugged Liam tightly for a moment, then backed away slightly as she looked at him worriedly.

Liam reached out and caressed the side of her face. His eyes were gentle as he said, "No, you're imagining things again."

After that, his tone suddenly became serious. "How many times have I said that you can’t run so fast when you’re unwell? Why don’t you ever listen?"

He looked at the two maids who were downcast because of his arrival. His tone became even more serious as he said, "Is this how you take care of the Madam?"

Sophie heard him mentioning her health condition and a gloom flashed in her eyes. She quickly concealed it and interrupted him, "Don't be so fierce. It’s not their fault. I was just too happy to see you."

After saying that, Sophie took Liam's hand and said petulantly, "I think I hurt my back from the fall earlier. Help me take a look. I can't see it myself."

Liam knew that she was just diverting his attention so that he would not punish the two maids. He could not bear to refuse her and he was indeed very worried about Sophie’s fall earlier.

He held Sophie’s hand as they went to her bedroom. Her bedroom looked the same as the room she lived in previously. Liam’s anger faded a little as he held Sophie's slim waist. "Where does it hurt? Let me see."

"Right here." Sophie turned around with her back to Liam and pointed to the spot.

Liam took her hand and said, "Lie down on the bed. I'll help you take a look."

Sophie was obedient and laid down on her stomach. She also lifted up her shirt and said, "It shouldn't be serious. Just put on some ointment."

Behind her, Liam leaned down slightly and looked at her skin. Sophie's skin was very pasty. Her face had been pale for years and her body was like white porcelain.

Sophie's eyebrows were tightly knitted. "Gently." Her voice was soft and petulant.

Liam gently rubbed the bruise a few more times. His eyes were dark as he said, "Done."

The man suddenly lowered his head. He had put away the ointment at some point. He held Sophie's head and gently wrapped his other hand around her waist as he suddenly pressed closer and kissed her alluring lips.

Sophie was caught off guard. He was just applying the ointment for her and suddenly kissed her. The familiar pressure came from somewhere behind her. Sophie froze for a second and she closed her eyes cooperatively.

The fact that she was so obedient made her even more desirable to Liam.

The smell of the ointment still lingered on his hand and filled their nose, but it was more intoxicating than alcohol.

"You should rest for a while. I..."

Liam pulled away and wanted to calm himself down, but he was interrupted by Sophie, "It's okay."

Her eyes were bright and glimmering with an unconcealed shyness. "The doctor said it's fine."

After saying that, Sophie lowered her head. The tips of her ears were red and she held Liam's hand, not wanting to let go.

"It’ll be dangerous for you." Liam was always worried about her health. Sophie’s eyelashes trembled slightly and tickled Liam’s heart. He just wanted to hold her tightly.
