Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 269

At the same time, Zayn was sitting in the living room of the Guggenheim mansion looking at a large stack of information Soren gave him.

There were a total of seven roads going in different directions at the end of that remote path. They first checked all the vehicles that had appeared on that road and exited, but the afternoon passed and there was no progress.

Zayn’s brow furrowed tightly. He pinched the bridge of his nose and stood up. The big screen in front of his eyes flashed, and surprisingly, Liam Wilford's face appeared.

Taking a deep breath, Liam Wilford could feel Zayn’s wrath through the screen.

Liam’s mood swirled. He put down the porcelain teacup in his hand. The sunlight outside the window shone on his slender fingers, making it almost transparent, but the sunlight did not change his sharp and shady vibes.

"Zayn Guggenheim, you suddenly hacked into my private account. What do you want?"

Liam asked nonchalantly. He was not even mad.

It turned out that Zayn got someone to hack into Liam’s private telecommunications system.

"Hand her over." Zayn was straightforward. There was not a hint of panic on his face, but his clenched fists and white knuckles revealed his emotions.

Liam hooked his lips and smiled. It was sinister and charming. "What are you saying? I don’t understand."

Zayn glared at him for a while and the two men exchanged silent blows, but there was no result.

"If I remember correctly." Zayn suddenly spoke leisurely, "Allie Wilford’s still in the country, and your fiancée, her name is Sophie Leger, right? She seems to be living in a large villa on the left bank of St. Martin Road."

Zayn gently pulled his cuffs that did not have a single crease and also hooked his lips into a smile. "Since you can't understand, then we'll just have to talk in a different way."

Liam's face changed slightly, but he still kept a cold smirk on his face. "Zayn Guggenheim, your wife went missing and you can't find her, so you come to threaten me? Is this all you can do?"

Zayn raised his head. The smile on his face deepened as he said, "I’m not very talented, so that's all I can do." After saying that, Zayn cut off the conversation between them.

Liam thought that if he did not admit it, there was nothing Zayn would do to him?

The people who were watching Allie Wilford did not have any findings. Zayn was just about to have someone directly take down Allie and Liam's fiancée when Soren's news got in the way.

Soren's voice was urgent as he reported, "President, just now, a boat sneaked out of Atlantic City Port. Our people didn’t manage to stop them and now they’re chasing it."

Zayn could hear the panic in Soren’s voice. It was a boat again. Zayn’s face paled and quickly rushed over to the port with his men.

The other party was on a small yacht. Soren chased after them in a speedboat and only had three or four people with him.

The port had already been under strict inspection due to Zayn’s request from the authorities, but there were many people, goods, and all kinds of boats and cargo ships there, so there would inevitably be one or two mistakes. Soren's people were careless and the yacht sailed out of sight.

The people on the yacht also noticed someone chasing them from behind, so they sped up on the dark and rough seas.

Soren's eyesight was amazing. Once he found that the other party had accelerated, he sped up the speedboat to its limit. The bone-chilling wind hit his body, but the man was unmoved.

Lindsey and Sieben squeezed under the quilt. They also did not care that the broken rug was dirty and laid down on it.

Lindsey tried hard to think of a solution. Even though she was usually fickle-minded, but at critical times like this, she was quite determined.

“Unless they tie us in a different way, or else if we’re tied up like this, there’s no way we can run,” Sieben said quietly behind Lindsey as if she had read Lindsey’s mind.

She looked up at the skylight above her head. Except for some laughter outside, everywhere else was quiet.

If they were not in the city, they should be on the outskirts of the city. From time to time, they would hear a car horn or a dog barking. It was very quiet, so they should be far from the city, away from the crowd.

Sieben had only been in Atlantic City for a few days and had been occupied with thinking about food every day, so she naturally could not think of any uninhabited place in the city.

Atlantic City was a glitzy city that never sleeps, so there were hardly any places like that around.

Lindsey thought about what Sieben said. How could they ask to be tied separately? This was certainly just a stopgap measure. They would have to separate them sooner or later, but how soon it would be was hard to tell.

However, it was also not impossible.

Lindsey thought about something and suddenly had an idea, but next to her, Sieben asked, "Do you know of any place near Atlantic City where there are few people, the kind of place that not many people usually go to."

She focused her thoughts and said, "Hmm...I don’t think there is...no wait, there is one place!"

A place quickly emerged in Lindsey’s mind. "Atlantic City Second Psychiatric Hospital. It’s away from the city and there’s a funeral home around the area that has been abandoned. I heard it’s because it was haunted."
