“She just fainted all of a sudden.” Shaun slammed his fist onto a wall in the hospital as he told the hospital director, who was also his good friend, Jason Campbell.
"She should be fine. She probably fainted because she was too emotional." Jason reassured Shaun. Seeing Shaun's reaction, he then asked dubiously, "It’s really not yours?"
Shaun forgot to be anxious and slapped Jason in the arm. "Nonsense!"
After saying that, even he did not notice that he subconsciously glanced over to Yvette.
"She’s just my sister that I grew up with." Shaun explained, then asked anxiously, "How long will the checkup take?"
After he said that, there was a loud noise coming from outside the hospital entrance.
Jason's face changed and even Yvette said, "What’s all the noise? Is someone trying to demolish the hospital?"
Yvette did not hear Shaun’s words earlier as she quietly sat there like a porcelain doll. When she heard the commotion, it instantly got her attention.
Jason just said that he would check it out and hurriedly walked outside. Before he could take a few steps, a group of people suddenly came out from around the corner.
The leader of the group was a man wearing a thin black trench coat. When he walked, the coat flapped behind him and he looked like a popular movie star that just came from a film set. However, the expression on his face was stormy and murderous.
Jason stopped walking and flashed a smile across his clean, handsome face. “Mr. Guggenheim, is there a reason that you’re causing such a big commotion in my small hospital?”
He was not very pleased about Zayn’s arrival, so the smile on his face did not look very sincere and was not very flattering.
Zayn did not even look at him. His thin lips parted slightly and spat, "Get out of my way!"
Shaun blocked Yvette behind him and said in a low voice, "Go to the side."
His voice was as impatient as ever. Yvette scrunched her nose and did not say anything, but she felt the bad vibes coming off of Zayn.
"Zayn Guggenheim!" Shaun stood in front of Zayn, trying to block the man's path.
However, Zayn just walked in front of him and suddenly smirked. In the next second, no one saw how he struck. All of a sudden, Shaun's arm cracked and half of his body went limp. Quentin came forward to catch him with an apologetic smile on his face. "Mr. Juhl, please rest over here."
That sounded like his bones were snapped in half. Shaun let out a stifled grunt and was instantly defeated. Cold sweat dripped down as he still wanted to stop Zayn, but his injured arm was firmly pressed down by Quentin. It was so painful that he could not even move.
Zayn was unhindered as he made his way to the room where Lindsey was doing her checkup.
He was exuding iciness as he pushed the door open with force. The doctor and nurses inside did not know what was happening outside. When they saw Zayn's aggressive look, they were all stunned. One of the nurses reacted the fastest and hurriedly pushed him out. "Sir, you can’t be here during the obstetric examination."
Zayn did not move and only heard the nurse's words after the fact. He instantly widened his eyes and asked, "Obstetric examination?"
The young nurse pushed him out while he was still in a daze.
Zayn stared at the frosted glass door in front of him and did not speak for a few minutes.
