Forced Into Marriage: My Husband’s Too Mean novel Chapter 184

Allie Wilford's voice carried a bit of surprise as she said, "Lindsey! Did you watch the news? Zayn’s on it."

Before this, Lindsey told Allie that she was back at the mansion. At that time, Allie advised her not to forgive Zayn so easily, yet now she was eager to share this breaking news with Lindsey.

Lindsey was never interested in entertainment news and did not really use her phone much. When she heard Zayn’s name, her ears perked up.

"What happened to Zayn?" Lindsey's voice was tense for a moment.

Allie beat around the bush and said, "Go see for yourself. You'll know then."

Her voice sounded weird, but Lindsey was not bothered to probe further. She hung up and fished out her phone.

Without even deliberately searching for Zayn’s name, the news on Lindsey’s feed was all related to Zayn.

"President Guggenheim attended a banquet with a young model and left the event together. The two seem awfully close to each other!"

There were even a few pictures of Zayn holding a beautiful woman in his arms. Zayn's face looked unapproachable as usual, but the young model beside him was smiling and talking to him. The two of them looked quite intimate.

Lindsey's eyes fell on the place where the young model was holding Zayn's arm tightly and was speechless for a long time.

After a while, she seemed to have thought of something and suddenly darted downstairs.

The old man was sitting downstairs watching the evening news. Even though he was old, he was still concerned about current affairs and politics. Lindsey took a look and sighed with relief.

Right after, she thought herself a little odd for being relieved.

Knowing Zayn, this news must have already been approved by him before it would be leaked out. He was such a strategic person, so surely he would not have neglected what Grandpa would think and was probably well-prepared.

"Lindsey, come sit with me." The old man beckoned to Lindsey.

Lindsey smiled and turned off her phone before going over to sit with the old man. She accompanied him as he watched global news. After a while, the old man suddenly said, “You know...you don’t have to stay cooped up at home with me. You can leave the house whenever you want. I remember that Zayn said you’ve become the President of Wilford Corporation. Why didn’t I see you go to work?”

The old man’s speech was a little incoherent, but he had been practicing every day and most of the people around him could understand.

"Grandpa, are you judging me for not working?" Lindsey joked.

The old man also laughed and said, "Of course not."

In fact, Lindsey was also curious about what Liam Wilford was thinking. She had been recuperating at home for so many days. Not only did Liam not harass her, even Milo Cohen had not contacted her.

However, Lindsey was not bothered by it because she only cared about a few people and things in her life. She would certainly not waste her energy thinking about Liam’s motives.

"Grandpa’s just afraid that you’ll get bored." The old man thought about it and said, "Why don't you work at Denarius? You can do whatever you want. I'll get Zayn to arrange it for you."

Lindsey quickly waved her hand. Working at Denarius at this juncture would be too much. "Grandpa, I just want to rest for a while, so don't worry about it."

She lowered her head again and tapped on her phone unconsciously.

The old man studied her and asked, "Is there something on your mind?"

Lindsey froze for a moment before saying, "No."

The old man did not say anything. He just sighed, then showed a kind smile and said, "Are you tired? Go up and rest."

"Okay. Grandpa, you should get some rest too. If there’s anything, get Aunt Wendy to call me."

Lindsey stood up and left. The moment she turned around, the smile on her face suddenly collapsed.

She went back to her room and could not help but read the news again. She looked at it and finally focused on Zayn and the young model.
