Allie's suspicious eyes swept over the two people. The vibes Soren emitted were hard to ignore.
In the end, Allie linked her arm with Lindsey’s and smiled as she said, “I’m not going to the office today and purposely came to see you, so you must accompany me!”
Allie said this in her usual tone like it was her birthright.
Previously, the two of them wanted to go shopping but were interrupted because of Zayn's little stunt. Lindsey knew that she owed Allie for this and said, "Okay."
After that, Lindsey turned to Soren and said, "Thanks for today. You can leave first. We'll go for a walk."
"Young Madam, please take care." After Soren said this, he got into the car and drove away.
Allie watched Soren leave and asked Lindsey, "Why did he call you Young Madam?"
Lindsey had nothing to hide and said, "He works for Zayn Guggenheim."
Allie gave an understanding nod, but her eyes sank. "Lindsey, what exactly is going on between you and Zayn?"
She only knew that Lindsey had gone to the psychiatric hospital, but she was not aware of what happened after that because Zayn was thorough in everything he did. If he meant to hide what he was doing, absolutely no one would ever find out.
Allie expected Lindsey to brush her off as usual, but Lindsey just sighed and said earnestly, “I don’t even know.”
Lindsey smiled bitterly and said, "I went to see the woman who hurt me today and found that a lot of things are far from what I imagined."
She was very confused. Everyone said that Zayn loved her deeply. Zayn's actions also made her feel incredulous. Moreover, what happened with Jenny Lenig proved her previous suspicions otherwise when she witnessed it with her own eyes. Also, Zayn's face and what the old man said kept crossing her mind. Lindsey had never been so lost before.
The most shocking thing for her was that Zayn only got together with Jenny Lenig because he took Jenny for her.
Zayn’s sentence, “I'm sorry, I forgot”, hit her soft spot more than any other previous apologies.
Allie heard her words and became anxious. She then probed, "Lindsey, then are you going to forgive him?"
"I really don't know," Lindsey answered honestly. The current situation was something she had never thought of, so she was at a complete loss.
"He hurt you so deeply. How can you forgive him so easily?" Annie quickly said as her eyes turned cold.
Lindsey did not think too much about Allie’s attitude and simply thought that Allie was just worried about her. She pondered and said, “Actually, I still want a divorce.”
"Then just get divorced!" Allie said immediately as if she was afraid that Lindsey would change her mind. She then added, “I can ask my brother to get you the best divorce lawyers.”
Lindsey smiled bitterly and said, "Take it easy. Zayn’s paranoid and unscrupulous. There are too many misunderstandings between us, so the divorce may drag on for a while."
"You’ve been married for so long though...was it all a misunderstanding?" Although Allie did not know the exact situation, this question was to the point.
Lindsey's eyes looked empty and her voice deepened unnaturally as she said, "He did hurt me and I do want a divorce, but...Zayn's grandfather is very good to me, I..."
Allie stopped walking and stood in front of Lindsey. She held Lindsey's shoulders and looked sincere and serious. "Lindsey, you shouldn't settle just because you’re grateful to his grandfather. Think about it this way, can Zayn really give you happiness?"
Her serious look confused Lindsey even more. Linsdey looked at Allie for a long time before shaking her head. "I don't know."
"Marriage is a sacred thing. You've been married for so long yet you’re always unhappy. This just means that you're not fit for each other."
‘You’re not fit for Zayn and he’s not fit for you.
