“Opportunity? You actually think the Gregory family stands a chance?” Esther didn’t bother to hide her scorn. “With your so-called skills?”

Amy forced a polite smile. “Ms. Esther, maybe we Gregorys aren’t their biggest threat, but the Country M team? They’ll wipe the floor with the Woods family and International Glam. No contest.”

Her flattery seemed to make Esther glow with pride. Amy’s words were like a crown placed on her head, lifting her higher and higher.

Especially when Amy talked about Country M crushing the competition, Esther’s smirk only grew, her confidence practically radiating off her.

“Of course,” Esther scoffed, her head held high. “People like you from Austenberg couldn’t even dream of being on our level. You’re just cheap knock-offs compared to Country M.”

Esther’s grin widened at that, her arrogance only growing. “That’s the spirit. Looks like you finally know your place. I’ll let it slide this time.”

With Amy’s praise ringing in her ears, Esther already pictured herself on a dazzling stage, looking down on everyone else, basking in the glory.
