Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1929

Jane didn’t say anything. She just stood there, watching Jean.

She honestly didn’t know if she should trust her or not.

“Ms. Jane, you can go back first. I’ll finish up here and come back later,” Jean called out without turning around. She kept scrubbing the floor and wiping down the tables, going over every spot again and again. Only when everything was spotless did she finally pick up her bucket and walk away.

By then, Jane had already left the stage. She stood a little distance away, still watching Jean. Something about all of this felt off, like the world had tilted a little.

She took a deep breath, gave Jean one last look, and then turned to leave.

Back in her room, Jane told Fiona everything. Fiona barely reacted—just a soft “mm” as if that was enough.

Jane frowned. Even Fiona was acting strange.

“Fiona, do you still think Jean’s suspicious?”

“Shouldn’t I?” Fiona shot back, her voice calm and steady.

That one question left Jane at a loss for words.

“Just go get some rest for now,” Fiona said. “I’ll take care of it. There’s medicine on the table—bring it with you and make sure you take some. And remember what I said: don’t eat or drink anything that’s already been opened, even if it’s something you started yourself and didn’t finish.”

Jane didn’t really get it, but she nodded anyway.

She ripped open the medicine, dumped a packet into her mouth, and took a few big swigs of water.

Fiona looked like she wanted to say something, but in the end, just sighed quietly.

What are you even sulking about? Seriously.

After Jane left, Fiona stared at her phone, lost in thought.

It was a photo of Jasmine, grinning ear to ear.

She never expected to run into someone here who looked so much like Jasmine.

Too bad—she was with Team Country M.
