Fiona stood at the entrance, eyes sharp and alert. She couldn't help but notice a few spots in the club where the security cameras just didn’t reach. People always found ways to take advantage of those gaps.

The first blind spot was the changing room, the second was the restrooms, and the third was the VIP suites. It made sense—no one wanted cameras in those places. But the thing was, Carson had walked Anna right out the club’s front doors, bold as day, and not a single person tried to stop them.

Were these people even doing their jobs?

“Pull up the surveillance footage from three nights ago, between seven and eleven p.m.,” Fiona said, her voice icy as she moved over to a sofa and sat down.

If these people really were pulling some shady moves behind the club’s back, Fiona wouldn’t hesitate to clean house and bring in a whole new crew.

The club manager looked completely lost. He shuffled over, forcing a smile. “Fiona, is… is something wrong? You seem upset. Maybe there’s something I can help with?”

He was trying his luck, but Fiona wasn’t having any of it. She shot him a cold glare and said, “Just get me the footage.”

“Yes, of course.” The manager nodded so fast he looked like a bobblehead, then hurried away to get someone to copy the footage.

He had no idea what had gone down lately to have Fiona this furious. Had someone really dared to cross her? He didn’t dare take the blame, so he just stood off to the side, sweating, while Fiona watched the videos.

About half an hour later, Fiona pointed to a blurry section on the screen. “What about this time frame?”

She’d done the math—this was exactly when Carson had left with Anna. But here, the screen was just snow. Then, as if nothing happened, the footage went back to normal. Someone had messed with it.

The manager was sweating bullets under Fiona’s glare, practically shaking.

The club had always run smoothly. How had things spiraled so fast?
