Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1829

Amy handed over the bank card to the girl next to her at the entrance of Golden Times, having already figured out how she was going to deal with the situation.

No matter how much money these folks poured in, it would all be for nothing because, in the end, the funds would end up with the Gregory family. Whether she gave it or not, the outcome would be the same.

But since Amy decided to give the card, the whole scenario shifted.

This place had to keep the Gregory family in good graces. Right now, they had no clue that the Gregory family was the puppet master behind the scenes, and they kept pointing fingers at the Larkin family. The Gregory family had really played their cards well to win folks over.

Fiona pondered this and realized why Amy had brought everyone to Golden Times for a meal today—it was all part of a bigger plan.

Snuggled in Jackson's arms, Fiona wrapped her arms around his neck. Just as she was leaning in for a kiss, the phone rang at the worst moment.

The call came from a number she didn't recognize, but it was from the States.

Confused, she exchanged a look with Jackson and picked up the call, only to find out it was from three members of the Bryant family she had signed a deal with at Golden Times that day.

She had all their numbers, so this unknown number seemed a bit fishy.

"Ms. Fiona, what's going on? We were really sincere, and to meet your demands, we even offered you eight percent of the Bryant family's shares. Yet, you're being so untrustworthy!"

Fiona was caught off guard and found it odd, so she frowned and asked, "Mr. Zhao, what are you talking about?"

The Bryant and Kidd families are big names in the States, and now with a plagiarism scandal blowing up, it's bound to stir up controversy. The two families have always been rumored to have beef, and with the Bryant family's past scandals, things have only gotten worse.

"If I remember right, the Bryant family has been caught in a plagiarism scandal before, and now this. They just can't seem to stay out of hot water!"

"The Bryant family is really hitting rock bottom under the current management. To keep getting caught in plagiarism despite their status in the States is a waste. Even if they couldn't afford designers, relying on their past achievements would be better than this. They've really messed things up!"

"I'm backing the Kidd family on this one. It's rough for them to be so blatantly ripped off. It's truly shameless!"

Fiona scrolled through a few comments and immediately recalled that day at Golden Times when the Bryant family grudgingly agreed to her demand for eight percent of the shares. It seemed the situation had spiraled way beyond what she had expected.
