Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1696

The G District in Southeast Asia had popped up as a force to be reckoned with in the last few years, quickly putting a squeeze on many smaller groups. If it hadn't been for Fiona and Jasmine teaming up, getting out of there would have been a whole lot tougher.

What was even more puzzling was that they couldn't trace where this powerful group had come from. The fact that such a massive network could be built so quietly and still have no trace was suspicious, to say the least.

Fiona seemed to catch onto something right away and whipped out her phone to call Jasmine. "Look into the main branch of the Woods family over the last five years. I need the scoop on every single person. This is urgent; get it to me in half an hour."

Jasmine wasted no time and dove straight into the investigation.

Yen was puzzled by all this. She didn't really get what was going on with the Woods family, but was it really necessary to be so on edge about your own kin? Or was Jackson that big of a threat?

She looked over at Fiona, but kept her questions to herself. Fiona had her reasons, and Yen trusted her judgment.

"Fiona, I've got some grub ready. How about we eat together?" Yen suggested.

Fiona nodded, then shot another message to Jasmine, telling her to rally their Southeast Asian allies. She planned to hit F District by nightfall, but how to get Jackson out would depend on the intel Jasmine dug up.

Over a not-so-appetizing meal, Fiona found herself zoning out, her gaze landing on Jasmine. Unable to hold back, she asked, "Haven't you ever thought of expanding your turf all these years?"
