Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1665

The Woods family has been around for centuries—there's no way their legacy is going down without a fight. It's downright hilarious that the Larkin family thinks they can take them on.

"I've got this," Fiona reassured with a gentle smile, her eyes softening before she pushed the door open.

As Fiona walked in, the director finally looked relieved, as if a weight had been lifted. "Ms. Fiona, thank goodness you're here," he said, rushing over. "The trip must've been quite the ordeal."

Fiona nodded, recalling the traffic pile-up she encountered on the way. No one was hurt, but something felt a bit off. "It wasn't too bad," she said, taking a seat next to the director's chair. "So, how did the meeting go?"

After the director filled her in, Fiona got the gist. Erica’s family was dead set on claiming the child was Allen's, painting him as a villain who even wronged his own cousin. They weren’t asking for money—just for Allen to show his face.

"So, when exactly did Allen supposedly cause all this trouble for Erica?" Fiona asked, calm and collected.

Erica’s family shifted uneasily. They had planned to slip out when Fiona and her crew arrived, but that plan was quickly squashed.

"And who might you be?" one of them sneered, eyeing Fiona up and down. "What gives a young woman like you the right to talk? Bring someone with authority, or your hospital and Allen won't hear the end of this! You're all in on it together, and I'll make sure everyone knows!"
