Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1651

"Alright, Fiona. Good night."

As soon as the door clicked shut, Fiona crumpled to the floor. Was her carefully concealed secret about to be blown wide open?

She had picked this secluded spot precisely because it was miles away from the Woods family estate—somewhere Jackson would never connect to their family. But her brother’s unexpected appearance had thrown her for a loop.

"Jasmine, do you think Jackson has known I’ve been living here all along?" Fiona asked, glancing up at Jasmine, doubt clouding her eyes. With Jackson's keen instincts, it was hard to believe he hadn’t pieced it together.

"And so what if he knows? Your family’s well-known; maybe it’s better if he's aware. Besides, Jackson seems pretty dependable. It’s not a big deal," Jasmine reassured.

Despite Jasmine’s comforting words, Fiona’s nerves were still rattled. She’d always played the part of the helpless little bunny in front of Jackson. If her true self was revealed, would he still trust her?

"Stop overthinking it. Jackson’s seen more of the world than you can imagine. Whatever you’re fretting about, he’s probably already figured out. Plus, Jackson isn’t one to sweat the small stuff. Just keep doing your thing."

Fiona didn’t respond, just sighed and headed to the study, grabbing a magazine to toss in front of Jasmine.

"You almost got outdone by the Larkin family at the last event."

Jasmine laughed it off. "That was just dumb luck, nothing more!"

"Zoe probably high-tailed it back to the States with the Larkins. I’ve got eyes on her there. Let me know if anything pops up. Also, you might want to tweak your style; that youthful vibe doesn’t quite suit you."

With that, Fiona turned and retreated to her room.
