"I think it's all good. There's really nothing wrong with it. We'll just check it out and return it, no harm done. Plus, if we're fast enough, Fiona won't even notice."
With that thought, everyone seemed to relax a bit, their eyes eagerly fixed on the tote bag.
When they opened the box with the evening gown, it was like stardust spilled out, casting tiny shimmering lights on the floor, leaving everyone wide-eyed in awe.
"Who would've guessed that Fiona could be so clever, having Jackson wrapped around her finger like that? If I'd known, I'd have gotten cozy with Nash too. Maybe I could've snagged a gown this stunning."
"That's it. Starting tomorrow, I'm going to buddy up with Nash. Who knows, maybe I'll score an invite to a fancy party next time. Everyone on TV at those parties seems loaded, and there are tons of celebrities."
The more they talked, the more Yvenne's heart raced with excitement. She held the gown in her hands, its texture like nothing she'd ever felt before.
Such a gorgeous gown, she wanted to wear it!
It would look amazing on her!
While she was lost in thought, the gown was snatched from her hands, and in a flash, someone else was trying it on. But the fit was all wrong, and even though they managed to wear it, the zipper wouldn't budge.
"Why is this gown so tiny?"
"Yeah, Fiona doesn't even look that slim. Can she really fit into something this small?"
As they chatted, Yvenne grinned, "You've all had a go, let me try it too."
Fiona glanced at the scene and said, "Time to pay up."
She turned away with a casual shrug, though inside she was fuming. This was a dress her brother had gifted her, and Yvenne had gone and ruined it.
Even though she loved the gown, now that it had been messed with and damaged, she wouldn't want it back even if it was returned.
"This could probably be sewn back together and still be wearable," Yvenne stammered, her voice trembling.
She had no money and no way to pay up.
"This evening gown was designed by the Queen of England herself, worth two million dollars. Will you be paying by card or cash?" Fiona asked, holding out her phone with a QR code for payment.
