Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life novel Chapter 1541

"What’s this?” Janet asked, eyebrows knitting in curiosity as she took the black SD card. A mix of excitement and intrigue bubbled up inside her. “You mentioned you were getting into photography. Is this your latest work?”

“Yep, Janet. I need your expert eyes on these shots since you’re more experienced,” came the reply.

Janet jumped at the chance, eager to help. Such a golden opportunity wasn’t something she was about to let slip by.

She quickly pulled out her phone and messaged someone, finally breathing a sigh of relief.

“I’m buying dinner tonight,” Janet grinned at Patricia.

She was in high spirits, ready to see if Fiona would finally get what was coming to her.

...

Meanwhile, Fiona got a dinner invite from Allen. But she turned it down, no hesitation. She already had plans with Jackson, who was taking her to her favorite spot.

She texted Jackson: “I love this gift, big brother.”

In the middle of a meeting, Jackson’s phone buzzed, causing heads to turn. Everyone looked around, wondering who dared to bring their phone in.

“BOSS, I’m sorry. I should’ve made sure no phones were allowed in,” the assistant quickly apologized.

To everyone’s surprise, Jackson picked up his phone, glanced at it, and a faint smile crept onto his face.

“That wasn’t me,” Allen replied, calm as ever. “I was filming a commercial with you. I didn’t have time to tweet.”

Christina paused, frowning. “Are you saying I did it?”

Allen stayed silent, his gaze distant and unreadable.

“We’ve known each other for years, and now you don’t even trust me?” Christina raged, sweeping everything off the table in frustration. “Is that how lowly you see me?”

Allen was torn, unsure if Christina could have been the culprit.

But the fallout was big. That tweet could sour things with his previous media company, and just as his career was taking off, rumors like this could make climbing back up nearly impossible.
