Find me in your labyrinth (Stella and Jonathan) novel Chapter 3520

Halfway through the meal, Summer got up to use the restroom and signaled for Marina to join her.

As they walked out of the restroom, Summer grinned. "Trixie's new guy seems pretty solid!"

Marina nodded. "He's definitely impressive. Out of the three of us, you're the only single one left. If you find a good guy, you should lock him down."

"Actually, there's a guy at work who's been pursuing me. I like him, but I'm still weighing my options. He's not from around here, and I'm worried my parents might object." Summer laughed. "Besides, I'm in no rush. It's not like you're any different from being single anyway. We can just keep each other company!"

Marina simply shrugged.

Summer pulled Marina toward the lounge area with a wicked smirk. "Trixie was supposed to be on a date with her man tonight. Let's hang out here for a bit and give them a chance to make out."

Back in the private room, Colby glanced at the designer bag Marina had left on the side cabinet. He turned to Trixie and asked, "What exactly does Marina do for a living? The watch she's wearing easily costs tens of thousands of dollars."

"She's the eldest daughter of the Evert family," Trixie replied casually. "Of course she's rich!"

Realization dawned on Colby, followed quickly by a self-deprecating scoff. "If she's that wealthy, why were you showing me off earlier? Weren't you worried she'd laugh at us?"

Trixie looped her arm through his and rested her head on his shoulder affectionately. "Of course not. Her family might be loaded, but the fiancé they picked out for her is a notorious playboy. For all I know, he's probably hideous too. When it comes to having a good man, she's definitely worse off than me!"

Colby was well aware of how high-society arranged marriages typically worked. He let out a sympathetic sigh. "That's a real shame for Marina."

Trixie narrowed her eyes, instantly on high alert. "Are you feeling sorry for her?"

Colby backpedaled immediately. "I only said that because she's your best friend. What are you thinking?"

Trixie finally broke into a smile. "That's more like it."

Meanwhile, Marina's mind flashed back to when Mrs. Foster had teased Carson with the exact same words back at the Foster estate. A sudden rush of heat flooded her chest.

Colby pulled out his phone. "Summer, Marina, let's add each other on WhatsApp. That way, if anything ever comes up with Trixie, I can get in touch with you guys."

It was a perfectly reasonable request, so Marina and Summer both took out their phones. The three of them exchanged contacts on WhatsApp.

Caught up in the excitement, Trixie even added Colby to their private three-person group chat.

Once she did, a thought occurred to her. She looked up at Marina. "Do you want to add your fiancé to the chat too?"

Marina paused for a second. "Never mind. He's usually really busy, and he probably isn't a fan of small group chats anyway."

Trixie gave an 'I expected as much' expression and tucked her phone away.
