"Mrs. Lamont mentioned you had an important meeting this afternoon and suggested we talk after," Millard said.
"Where is she now?" Jonathan asked, quickening his pace as he moved towards the exit.
"At the police station," Millard replied.
Jonathan's steps halted abruptly, and he turned around, "What happened?"
"Don't worry, sir. Mrs. Lamont didn't get into a fight. It's a setup against Snowy Studios, but she caught them red-handed and called the cops!" Millard quickly explained.
Jonathan's expression softened, "Let's head to JS Police Station right away."
"Understood!" Millard responded respectfully.
By the time Jonathan arrived, the police had nearly concluded their investigation.
Connor's ex-wife, Grace, was brought in and confessed to everything she had done.
She had posted online with the intention of causing a rift between Connor and Yolanda, never expecting to end up at the police station. The police interrogation scared her into confessing!
Entering the room, Jonathan saw Estelle sitting on a chair. His expression softened as he gently touched her head, "What's the situation now?"
"They've confessed everything. We shouldn't have any problems," Estelle said, her eyes clear and serene.
The precinct chief hurried over, "Mr. Lamont!"
Jonathan straightened up, nodding slightly, "Chief!"
"I didn't expect to trouble you with a visit!" the chief said with a smile.
The two stepped aside to talk. The chief mentioned, "This incident has had quite an impact. Snowy Studios could get a lawyer and demand compensation for any damages."
"First, I want a public apology to restore Snowy Studios and the designer's reputation," Jonathan stated.
Connor and Grace were subdued, not daring to protest, merely nodding in agreement.
Tina was scolded by the police for ethical misconduct, while Diana remained elusive.
The police couldn't reach her by phone, and she wasn't at home, likely having gotten wind of the situation and gone into hiding.
As they left the police station, Tina ran after Sophia, "Sophia, I truly regret my actions. Can I have another chance?"
Under the dimming twilight, Sophia's gaze was cold, "I never forgive betrayal."
Tina covered her face, sobbing.
Stepping out of the station, Sophia took a deep breath and smiled at Jonathan, "This was my mess. Let me treat you and Estelle to dinner."
Jonathan replied, "Dinner's not necessary, but do keep an eye out for Diana!"
