Chapter 1787
“Kya sleeps just like you did when you were a child, always kicking off the blanket. Make sure she doesn't catch a cold at night! Your dad is suffering from insomnia."
Charlie glanced down at his phone, his eyes narrowing slightly. He turned to Emily, suggesting, "How about this? Let's have Ms. Simmons take care of Kya on weekdays, and we can send Kya to my parents on weekends. They really love Kya!"
This plan was perfect. On the weekends, he could spend some time alone with Emily.
Emily nodded in agreement, "Sounds good, no problem!"
Charlie promptly promised Mrs. James, "I'll talk to Emily and try to convince her. Wait for my message."
Mrs. James was taken aback, "You can't make the decision?"
Charlie responded, “I can't"
Mrs. James was so frustrated that she ignored him.
Estelle and Jonathan arrived home after Emily and Charlie. As soon as they entered the house, Jonathan pushed Estelle against the wall and kissed her passionately.
After a while, Jonathan pulled away, resting his forehead against Estelle's neck. His voice was husky, “Ella, I want a daughter too."
Estelle laughed, realizing why Jonathan had been so quiet and pensive. He was jealous of Charlie.
She patted Jonathan's shoulder in comfort, “Let's not pay him any mind. We shouldn't encourage his competitive spirit"
Jonathan lifted his head, his handsome face wore an expression of longing, "I just want a daughter. Let's have one!"
Estelle held his waist, trying to calm him down, "Take it easy. Kya was an unexpected surprise."
"Don't worry!" Charlie reassured her. Then he turned to Kya, "Say bye to mommy!"
Kya waved her little hand, "Bye-bye, mommy!"
"Bye!" Emily hugged Kya and hurriedly out.
After Emily had left, Charlie thought for a moment and called Ms. Simmons to tell her that she didn’t need to come today. He then dressed Kya and took her out.
Kent came to pick up Charlie and was slightly surprised, yet not entirely shocked when he saw Charlie bringing Kya along.
Upon reaching the James Group building, Charlie carried Kya all the way up to the thirty-ninth floor. The new executive assistant stood up to greet him respectfully. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw the child in Charlie's arms.
His boss was bringing a child to work?
