Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 66

Felicity flinched at the chill radiating from Harrison, as if he was surrounded by an icy aura.

She saw the look on his facea murderous glare that could kill.

What’s wrong? Did Selene say something to upset you again?

Harrison’s jaw clenched, his voice like b

Harrison’s jaw clenched, his voice like broken glass as he Adrian Shaw!

Felicity was stunned, gaping at him wordlessly.

spat out two words:

Then, in the dead of night, Adrian’s mocking laughter crackled through the phone, sharp enough to make Harrison’s eardrums ache.

You’re in Selene’s room?!

Harrison’s voice dropped to a dangerous growl.

Felicity stared at him, jaw slack in disbelief, unable to form a single word.

We just finalized our divorce today, and you couldn’t wait even a few hours before spending the night with her at a hotel?

At that moment, Harrison looked like a furious lion, barely contained.

Adrian’s tone was maddeningly calm. Selene’s staying at one of my hotels. It’s the middle of the nightwhat kind of host would I be if I let my guest be disturbed? Besides

He paused, his words slow and deliberate. Did you expect her to mourn for you for three years after the divorce?

The smile on Harrison’s handsome face grew colder still. His fists, pressed against his thighs, were whiteknuckled, veins bulging.

Adrian, was this your plan all along? The time you flew back from overseas for my kid’s birthdaytwelve hours on a plane, rushing straight from the airportwas that really for me, or for Selene?

As he thought back, Harrison realized Selene had been present at every meeting he’d had with Adrian.

So the heir to the Shaw family hadn’t been trying to get closer to him, after all. Adrian had simply used the family gatherings as an excuse to see Selene.

Harrison’s anger twisted tighter in his chest. Coveting another man’s wife, Mr. Shaw? That’s a new low.

Adrian gave a derisive snort. And what right do you have to judge me, Mr. Vaughn? She was my wife!

But betraying someone who truly loves youthat always comes back to haunt you.

Harrison froze, as if an invisible hand had clenched his stomach, nails digging in, drawing blood.

Sweat broke out on his pale forehead, cold and clammy.

Do yourself a favor, Mr. Vaughn. Let Selene have a peaceful night’s sleep.

Adrian hung up.

Harrison set his phone aside. Felicity couldn’t hold back anymore. Adrian and Selene spent the night together?!

Before he could answer, she rushed to defend him.

and she’s already shacked up with Adria / him. You divorced her this morning,

at a hotel tonight?

Suddenly, she remembered something and gasped, wideeyed. Daphne’s still with her! She’s setting a terrible example for her daughter!

Harrison tossed his phone aside, looking utterly drained. Don’t let me hear Selene’s name again.

He stood up, but dizziness crashed over him, making his head swim.

Harrison!Felicity darted forward, grabbing his arm to steady him.

He shook her off, his sharp features now shadowed with coldness and the effects

of too much alcohol.

Go home. I’m not seeing you out.

Felicity protested, No way am I leaving you like this! I’ll drive out and get you something for your stomach.

Before Harrison could stop her, she’d already hurried out the door.

An hour later, Harrisonhalfasleep and sweating through the sheetswas jolted awake by Felicity’s return.

Harrison! I got your medicine.”

Chapter 66

The bedroom lights flicked on. Harrison squinted, his head pounding, forcing himself up despite his drenched clothes.

If Selene were here, she would’ve helped him change, wiped him down, tucked him in, made sure he was comfortable.

The thought made irritation simmer under his skin. He tugged at the buttons on his shirt collar, trying to breathe.

Felicity rummaged through her bag and pulled out several boxes of medicine. Here, pick whichever one you need.

Harrison scowled. None of these are what I usually take. You could’ve just asked
