Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 65

Chapter 65

As soon as Felicity finished speaking, the girl flinched like a startled birdher whole body shuddered.

Felicity was quite pleased with her reaction.

Without another word, Felicity left. Over ten minutes later, the girl finally staggered out of the restroom, doubled over and clutching her stomach. She moved like a zombie, each step slow and heavy.

Adrian was waiting outside, impeccably dressed in a tailored suit, his expression cold and unreadable.

Vivian held out the memory card she’d been gripping tightly.

She didn’t recognize me.Bruised and battered, the girl managed a twisted smile. Please, I’m begging you. I want her to pay for thisI want revenge for Natalie!

Adrian took the memory card and turned to leave, his face still void of emotion.

Vivian called after him, I just want to knowwhy did Attorney Shaw suddenly decide to help me? Before, no matter how I pleaded, you wouldn’t even consider taking this case.

Adrian turned the tiny card between his fingers. Because I want to make a certain woman happy.

A sleek black Maybach rolled into the Vaughn family garage.

Felicity reached over and tried to guide Harrison’s arm over her shoulder to help

him out.

Harrison, sobering up, instinctively pulled his arm away.

Harrison, let me help you out of the car.”

I’m fine,he rasped, his voice rough. He pushed open his door and stepped out on

his own.

Felicity hurried after him. Hey, be careful! You drank way too much.

She tried to catch up, hoping to steady him, but Harrison was already striding toward the house, moving faster than she expected.

Inside, he collapsed onto the living room sofa, rubbing his temples with a heavy

sigh. It had been ages since he’d drunk enough to give himself a splitting headache.

Get me some lemon water,he muttered into the empty room.

Felicity came in, catching only the tail end of his words. What was that? Did you say something?

Harrison’s eyes flickered with a strange emptiness. Selene had been gone from the Vaughn household for a month now, and he still hadn’t adjusted. The silence of the

house without her unsettled him.

The staff found it hard too. Even Gemma and Dames had grown more vocal in their complaints since Selene left.

Harrison pressed a hand to his stomach, his face contorting in pain as he let out a low groan.

Harrison, what’s wrong?Felicity asked, alarmed.

Gritting his teeth, Harrison tried to stifle the pain. Call Selene. Tell her to bring my antacids.”

Felicity’s face fell. She fought to keep her tone neutral. She blocked all our numbers weeks ago, Harrison. Selene’s not exactly the forgiving type.

Ignoring Felicity, Harrison pulled out his phone. Surely Selene wouldn’t abandon him in this state. Fighting through his dizziness, he managed to look up the number for the hotel where Selene was staying and dialed the front desk.

The receptionist answered with professional detachment. One moment, please.

Following protocol, the desk clerk hung up and immediately called Adrian.
