Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 450

There was no ripple of emotion in Leo’s eyes; his tone was cool and detached. “I don’t think so.”

Realizing Leo didn’t know the girl from the magazine, Selene let the topic drop.

“Maybe all pretty faces just look the same after a while,” she offered, trying to reason with herself.

Leo glanced at her, then shifted the conversation. “I’ve already assigned people to keep a strict watch on Harrison. He’s sleeping in the dormitory now, and someone monitors him around the clock.”

“Is Harrison at Serenity Church?” Selene asked.

Leo nodded and pulled out his iPad to show her.

On the screen was a video sent by one of Harrison’s watchers. In it, Harrison wore a gray work jacket and black rubber boots, each hand gripping a large plastic bucket. If you looked closely, you could see he was wearing heavy-duty work gloves.

He hefted the buckets—clearly heavy—and trudged toward the vegetable garden.

“What… is he doing?” Selene couldn’t help her surprise.

“Fertilizing the garden,” Leo replied.

Selene stared at the screen for a few seconds, uncertain if she should believe her own eyes.

It was almost unbelievable. Here was a man used to the luxury of high-end cars and multi-million dollar homes, someone whose shoes had never touched real dirt—yet now he was in black rubber boots, hunched over in the garden, doing honest farm work.

“…He’s actually doing it pretty well!” Selene marveled.

Leo said, “Scroll up. I’ve set a full schedule for him.”

Selene’s finger slid across the screen, revealing Harrison’s daily routine at Serenity Church: besides gardening, tilling soil, and fertilizing, he was also responsible for feeding the pigs, tending the chickens and ducks, helping with church repairs, and participating in the priests’ morning and evening prayers. Harrison had to do it all.

Selene tried to picture Harrison joining in prayer and hymn with the clergy. She couldn’t quite imagine it.

She pointed at the schedule on the iPad. “Got any video of him feeding the pigs?”

“I had someone record it this afternoon. I’ll send it to you.”

Selene’s lips curled in satisfaction—this was far more entertaining than just seeing Harrison spend a night in jail.

Seeing her so amused, even Leo’s eyes softened with warmth.

“Harrison will be at Serenity Church for at least a month,” Leo continued. “Damien’s on academic leave, but the Vaughn family will make sure he doesn’t fall behind in his studies.”
