Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 387

Clusters of guests whispered behind cupped hands, sharing the latest scandal:

“Everyone in the city knows Felicity’s infatuated with Mr. Vaughn. She’s clearly making a last-ditch play for him in public! She probably thinks he’d rather keep quiet than make a scene, so she’d get her way. But Mr. Vaughn’s not the type to bend for anyone!”

Someone else shook their head with disdain. “Felicity’s a fool. Does she even realize? If Mr. Vaughn ever cared about her, her sister wouldn’t be Mrs. Vaughn right now!”

Selene gave quick instructions to a few Thompson Group staffers. “Take Felicity downstairs. The ambulance should be here any minute.”

The employees came in and carefully lifted Felicity, who remained limp and unconscious. Her jacket and pants were draped haphazardly over her, head lolling to one side as if she were still lost in a pleasant dream.

As the staff carried her out, the guests glanced down at her with open contempt etched across their faces.

“Mr. Vaughn,” Selene called, her voice distant and cool.

Harrison’s gaze snapped to her, his eyes lighting up just because she’d spoken his name.

“You should get in the ambulance as well. Go to the hospital.”

There was no mistaking the message—Selene was asking him to leave.

In truth, Harrison had never been invited to this Thompson Victory Technologies acquisition ceremony in the first place.

He shook his head. “I’m not riding in the same ambulance as Felicity.”

The guests murmured in agreement. After everything that had happened, no one could blame him for being wary.

Harrison turned to Selene. “Could you help me locate the key to these cuffs?”

Selene’s tone was icy. “Then, Mr. Vaughn, please wait in one of the other lounges.”

Sitting alone in a quiet lounge, Harrison slumped on the couch, his shirt stained with blood at the cuff. Selene’s assistant entered, holding up a small key.
