Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 370

Selene sensed something was off. She glanced up at Adrian, whose sharp smile revealed nothing about what he was truly thinking. At that moment, he was unreadable.

Then, in full view of the crowd, Adrian held up his speech folder—completely blank.

“Not sure which genius thought this was funny, but someone handed me an empty speech folder,” he announced, his voice slicing through the murmurs.

A wave of gasps rippled through the audience.

“How could the folder be empty?”

“Who would pull something like this?”

“This is the home turf of Thompson Victory Technologies—did one of their own really stoop to such childish tricks, just to embarrass Mr. Shaw?”

More and more people turned curious, suspicious eyes toward Selene.

Adrian pressed his palms on the table and leaned forward, looming over the first row where Harrison sat.

“Whoever tried to trip me up at the acquisition ceremony—hoping I’d make a fool of myself—obviously doesn’t want the Shaw Group to succeed in acquiring Thompson Victory Technologies.”

Selene calmly reached for the empty folder on the table, then stood, her heels clicking resolutely toward Harrison.

“Hand over Adrian’s real speech folder,” she demanded.

The moment Selene spoke, the business tycoons sitting beside and behind Harrison grew visibly unsettled.

“Was it Mr. Vaughn who swapped Mr. Shaw’s folder?!”

“No way! Mr. Vaughn would never do something so petty!”

The guests erupted in disbelief.

Adrian remained where he was, watching Selene’s back as she stood her ground. The sight sent a jolt of energy straight through him. Tilting his head, he lifted an eyebrow and shot Harrison a cold, taunting smile. Looks like you didn’t see this coming, did you, Harrison? You tried to sabotage the folder, and Selene stepped in for me.

From his seat, Harrison raised his chin, looking up at Selene as she towered over him. He realized that every time he saw her from this angle, something deep inside him froze—he couldn’t move, couldn’t look away. He would never have admitted it, but he almost relished this feeling of being beneath his ex-wife. The more forceful Selene became, the more something restless awakened within him.
