Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 359

Selene shot Harrison a cold, unflinching look.

He clearly already knew everything that had happened earlier in the auditorium. The elevator malfunction, his conveniently timed appearance—his intentions couldn’t be more obvious.

Her palm grew sweaty as she clutched Daph’s hand. Harrison was out of his mind. He kept insisting, “My daughter,” but he didn’t care at all about Daph’s safety.

But without hard evidence, Harrison would never admit to having anything to do with the elevator’s sudden failure.

Selene forced down the anger threatening to boil over in her chest. “Did you know about Clarissa targeting Daph?”

Harrison answered, “She’s been getting close to my mother lately…”

So, Clarissa’s boldness at school made sense—Gemma was backing and encouraging her from behind the scenes.

At that moment, the elevator doors slid open and several teachers from the arts department stepped out.

Upon spotting Harrison, they greeted him with deference. “Good afternoon, Mr. Vaughn.”

Daph recognized them—she’d seen these same teachers sitting as judges at the school recital when she was in the younger class.

“Hello, teachers. I’m Dafina from Pre-K, Class One,” she said, her hands clasped tightly to her chest. “I’d like to sign up for a solo act in the school showcase. Is that allowed?”

Her big, honest eyes searched their faces, hopeful.

But the teachers exchanged uneasy glances.
