Dumping The Ice King His Mini-Tyrant novel Chapter 245

A radiant smile lit up her face.

“Today, I returned to the track behind the wheel of the Solarius. I revealed my true identity because I wanted everyone to know that even as a mother, I can still shine out there, right in the heat of competition.

As long as I press down on the accelerator and move forward without fear, no challenge can stop me—and it’s never too late to chase your dreams.”

With one hand on her hip, Felicity’s jaw dropped in disbelief. She blinked hard, trying to process what she’d just heard.

“You can’t possibly be Luna!” she blurted out.

This had to be some kind of joke, right? Was Selene actually pretending to be Luna?

“She is Luna!”

A deep, steady voice cut through the crowd. Felicity spun around and found Harrison standing there.

Shock rippled through her, leaving her utterly rattled.

“Harrison, did she trick you too…?”

Harrison’s fists clenched so tightly that the veins stood out across the backs of his hands. Even now, minutes after the race had ended, he was still reeling, unable to believe what he’d just witnessed.

It felt as if a tidal wave had crashed right over him, leaving him battered and exposed.

But now, no matter how chaotic his thoughts, he couldn’t escape the truth—Selene was Luna.

“I saw her with my own eyes. I watched her climb into the Solarius, watched her tear down that track.”

“She is Luna!”

As he forced out the words, Harrison’s voice trembled uncontrollably.

For a moment, all the noise and commotion faded away.

Harrison’s declaration rang out like a thunderclap, echoing through Felicity’s mind, leaving her stunned and speechless.

She shook her head, refusing to accept what she’d just heard.

“That’s impossible…” Felicity muttered, still in denial.

“Mommy!”

Dames stamped his foot in frustration. “If I’d known… If I’d known, then… then maybe I wouldn’t have hated you so much!”

His big, round eyes welled with tears, shining as they threatened to spill over. His nose was red, his brow furrowed—he was clearly on the verge of a meltdown.

Selene’s voice stayed composed. “So if I’d told you earlier that I was Luna, you would have liked me more, is that it?”

“Mmm…” Dames mumbled, not meeting her gaze.

“And if I had nothing—if I were just an ordinary, unremarkable woman—would that mean I wasn’t good enough to be your mother?”

Dames grumbled under his breath, “I am the young master of the Vaughn family! My mom has to be the most amazing woman in the whole world!”

Selene looked at him steadily, this child both familiar and a stranger to her all at once.

“Even a dog doesn’t care if its owner is rich or poor. But you do, Damien!”

She turned to Harrison, her smile growing colder.

“You care too, Harrison.”
