Coralie stared at him, her brows furrowing slightly. Wait a minute. She came here to interrogate him about whether he had something to do with driving away her newly selected pretty boy.
"Channing..."
"Since you can't decide, I'll choose." He leaned down, scooping her up into his arms. "First your room, then mine."
"Hey!" Floating up into the air, she grabbed his neck in a panic. "Wait, I still have things to say."
"Okay." He nudged her door open with his knee. Setting her down on the bed, he immediately pressed over her, his kisses trailing down one after another.
"Chan—" She opened her mouth, only making it easier for him. She couldn't get a single word out. She pushed against his chest, but he wouldn't budge an inch.
Channing. You bastard.
—
Two hours later.
Outside the window, the wind had died down, leaving the trees still. Inside, the lights were bright.
Coralie lay on her stomach, her half-exposed shoulders covered in a fine layer of sweat.
"Miss..." He lay beside her, cautiously reaching out to hold her.
*Slap—*
She turned around and slapped his shoulder. Her eyes were red and damp, heavy with exhaustion. "Did I agree to that just now?"
"I thought you did." He swallowed hard, looking guilty. "Because later on, you were pretty passion—"
Before he could finish the word, she clamped a hand over his mouth. "The past is the past. This is now."
"I'm sorry. Next time, I'll ask clearly." His eyes flickered as he offered a soft apology. "Are you uncomfortable? Do you want to take a shower?"
"Tired." She closed her eyes, completely drained physically and mentally. She had zero energy to argue with him.
