"...Oh."
Coralie really couldn't grasp his thought process.
At a time like this, shouldn't he be worrying about his actual brain?
"Let's go."
Coralie shot him a glance and turned to walk out.
Channing followed closely behind her, his eyes tracing her silhouette with absolute tenderness.
—
The people from Sunrise Casino hadn't arrived yet.
Coralie and Channing headed to the lounge first.
She had just taken a seat.
Channing walked over to her holding breakfast. "It was kept in the warmer. Eat it while it's hot."
Coralie took a bite of her pastry and looked up at him. "You haven't eaten either, have you?"
He'd been revolving around her since he woke up and had even taken a bottle to the head.
"I'm not hungry," Channing replied softly.
"Open."
Coralie held up the half-eaten pastry to his lips.
Channing stared at the lipstick mark on the pastry, slightly dazed.
"What? You think it's gross?" Coralie blinked. "I can grab you a fresh one."
"No need." Channing immediately opened his mouth and ate it. "It's delicious."
Coralie stared at him, feeling a sudden flutter in her chest.
Delicious?
It was pretty average.
"Have some water." Channing held out a water bottle.
"I don't want water." Coralie glanced at it and said coolly, "I want an iced Americano."
"It's your time of the month in two days," Channing stated firmly.
Coralie almost choked and glared at him fiercely. "Channing, you're such a creep. How do you even keep track of that?"
Channing pursed his lips in grievance, not daring to argue.
How could he not know?
