Were his grandparents really here to visit him, the patient?
He didn't even have the heart to expose them.
"Mr. and Mrs. Schwartz," Seeing the elders, Ebony Fox immediately stood up and offered a polite greeting.
"No need to be so formal. Just call me Grandma, like this brat does." Although Hannah had met Ebony Fox before, it was always in passing. She had never observed her closely.
She smiled brightly and took Ebony Fox's hand. "The last time we saw each other was at Juniper's wedding, right?"
"Yes." Ebony Fox paused, her body going a bit stiff as she answered.
"It's been far too long then," Hannah said, her eyes practically glued to Ebony Fox.
My, my. She was tall and slender, her features elegant and refined. She had a calm, poised demeanor, and she naturally carried a cool, badass aura. She looked completely different from those superficial socialites who only cared about shopping and dressing up.
No wonder she was Juniper's sister. She was incredibly likable.
Her two grandsons really had an eye for quality.
Ebony Fox felt shy under the intense scrutiny and tried to pull her hand back, but Hannah was far too enthusiastic and wouldn't let go.
"Ebony Fox, thank you for taking care of this brat lately." Hannah patted her hand, beaming. "Whenever you're free, come over to the house. Grandma will cook up a feast for you."
Juniper could easily be bribed with food. As her sister, Ebony Fox probably could be too.
After all, birds of a feather flock together, right into the same family.
"You're welcome." Ebony Fox wasn't used to such intimacy. "Please take a seat."
"Of course." Hannah agreed verbally, but still refused to let go of Ebony Fox, continuing to stare at her affectionately.
