She quickly looked away and turned to Beta Bruno. She began speaking to him as if avoiding meeting that man’s gaze again.

Ava noticed everything. Her gaze followed where Abigail was looking a while ago. She saw Ronald Solace, gazing at her best friend. He was calm, but his mood was kind of off.

Ava recalled that four years ago when she was in a relationship with lan, she had a movie night with all of his friends. She did not forget how Abigail had been staring at Ronald the entire time. She still had no idea what was going on between them. In fact, no one had ever seen them speak to one another.

Her gaze wandered around the party unintentionally, eventually settling on someone.

She furrowed her brows and leaned toward Abigail.

“What is she doing here? Didn’t you say she is out of the pack?”

Abigail turned her head to see who Ava was mentioning.

“Nova? I thought she wouldn’t attend the party.”

Debra overheard them. She looked at Nova and said to them

“She came back from overseas today. Maybe she heard Alpha lan is attending the party. Otherwise, she has not shown up to the party for the past two years.”

Dane was sitting while speaking with Griffig. Debra’s loud words drew his attention.

“Who are you talking about?” he asked.

Debra signaled him toward Nova. “She is our Alpha’s ex–girlfriend.”

Debra gazed at Nova with keen eyes. His brown eyes were dark and indifferent.
