Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 704

Andrew was a hypnotist and a psychologist.

Wiona couldn’t help but be curious when she found out Conrad had been seeing Andrew for therapy since he was seventeen. Just how old was Andrew, anyway? If he’d been qualified to counsel someone like Conrad ten years ago, why did he still look so young now? He must have some amazing secrets for staying youthful.

“Mrs. Sullivan, do you really think I’m better looking than your husband?”

Andrew caught her staring and, setting down his knife and fork, touched his face and gave her a deep, almost teasing look.

Wiona made a face.

“Absolutely not.”

“Don’t get the wrong idea.”

“My husband fits my taste much better.”

She didn’t want anyone getting the wrong impression, so she made sure to sound serious.

Conrad just lowered his head and smiled a little. “Got it. I understand.”

Andrew noticed the shift in Conrad’s mood and raised an eyebrow. Looked like his patient was almost ready to graduate from therapy. Did this lady really have such an effect on him?

Wiona didn’t notice Andrew sizing her up. She couldn’t keep her questions to herself anymore.

“I was just wondering… has Louisa been brainwashed?”

“Mr. Andrew, do you think someone could have put her into an even deeper hypnotic state, so she genuinely believes that killing Wilson was an act of mercy?”

“And how can someone be dead but also… not? Is it really possible for someone to keep living in some other way?”

“I just can’t wrap my head around it.”

“And who are the ‘he’ and ‘they’ Louisa keeps talking about?”

“If she couldn’t reveal their identities even under hypnosis, does that mean she really doesn’t know who they are?”

“So… who could these people even be?”

Conrad cut a piece of steak and popped it into Wiona’s mouth.

“Eat first. We’ll talk about all this after.”

Wiona quickly chewed and swallowed, then grabbed Conrad’s hand and pleaded, “Conrad, you know something, don’t you? Just tell me, please. Otherwise, I won’t be able to eat at all.”

Conrad patted her head, not waiting for Andrew to jump in, and answered her patiently.

“After Devin fell from the cliff, someone took his body. Ever since, I’ve been looking into whether it’s possible he’s still alive.”

“There was that finger that got mailed to the estate.”

“And the handwriting that was almost exactly like his.”

“Why do celebrities fight so hard for a ticket into an exclusive society, even if it means throwing away their careers?”

“It’s not just about money.”

“It’s about technology, too.”

“And that technology is in the hands of those with money.”

“They control the world, and they can change it.”

“But for ordinary people, these changes are out of reach, because so much of this technology is basically against humanity itself.”

The more Wiona listened, the darker everything felt. She hugged herself tightly.

Conrad pulled her into his arms, trying to comfort her.

“Don’t think about it for now. I’ll explain ecerything to you slowly.”

Wiona nodded, quickly took a few sips of water, and finally felt a little better.

After dinner, Andrew got up to leave. Before he left, he said to Conrad, “Looks like you won’t need to come to my office anymore. I’m really happy for you. I’ll be around Stonehill for a while. Call me if you need anything.”

He waved at Wiona with a friendly smile and left them to their own little world.

Wiona was still feeling a little down, but Conrad took her hand and said, “We’re not going back to the estate tonight.”
