Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 641

Wiona nodded. “That’s good to hear.”

“At least all that pretending with him wasn’t for nothing.”

She’d asked Ms. Morden to pull some strings and get Wilson out on bail first. Then she’d set up the art show, every detail meant to lure Wilson closer, bit by bit, right into her trap.

“He probably thinks I believe he’s really my father.”

To make Wilson believe the lie, Wiona had to commit to it herself. She forced herself to go along, even to believe it for a while.

She replayed the scene in her mind. Had she given anything away just now?

“Show me the photos.”

She reached out, and Molly placed the phone in her hand without missing a beat.

The photos were perfect. You could see the eagerness and excitement on Wilson’s face, the way he kept trying to touch her. The shot of him grabbing her hand was especially sharp, catching the strange, bottled-up emotion in his eyes. Anyone could see there was something off.

Without a second thought, Wiona opened her email. She’d made a new account ages ago, just for this.

She was about to start typing when Madison’s voice called out from the stairs. “Wiona, are you upstairs?”

“My friend just finished looking at your paintings. I want to introduce you guys!”

Wiona called back, “Just give me five minutes.”

Five minutes later, she put away her phone and headed downstairs.

Meanwhile, Conrad got word that Wilson had finally gone to Cassian K. ART.

“That bastard.”

Disgust flashed in his eyes. Ever since Wilson got out on bail, he’d gone right back to his old ways, acting like nothing had changed.

To draw him to the art show, Wiona hadn’t bothered to explain anything when Louisa spread rumors about her. She needed Wilson’s curiosity and suspicion to build until he couldn’t stand it, until he had to come to the exhibition and see her in person. That was when the real game would begin.

Luckily, the old bastard hadn’t let them down.

The last time they’d faced off at the sanatorium, Wiona had confronted him about her parentage. He’d been locked up right after that. He must have known she’d do a DNA test and that she’d taken samples from him more than once.

What did that mean for him? It meant the results had come out just as he hoped—something Wiona couldn’t accept. So the second he was released, he’d make a move, wanting to show up in front of her and claim to be her father.
