Calista took a moment to collect herself, finally feeling a little more grounded.
She stared into the mirror with hollow eyes, her expression devoid of life.

But the moment she stepped out of the restroom, she walked straight into Richard’s chest.
The hallway was narrow, bathed in unsettling hues of blue and green that cast an eerie glow along
the walls. The air felt inexplicably heavy, as though the lights themselves were pressing in from
all sides.
“Mr. Hollings, are you here for the restroom as well?”
Calista offered a polite smile, instinctively stepping back.
But it was obvious Richard wasn’t there for the restroom. He moved like a predator, and when his
eyes landed on Calista, a slow, creeping smile spread across his face.
Under the eerie lighting, it looked almost sinister.
“Calista, yes?” he slurred, either genuinely drunk or doing a convincing job of pretending.
He staggered forward, closing the distance with unsettling intent, gradually cornering her.
“Calista, did you know that I’m one of your company’s biggest vendors? The steel I supply… It’s rare and in high demand. Yet, I chose to give you this opportunity. Do you know why?”
Richard leaned in, his expression laced with inching closer to her.
