Dark Secrets of the Blind Husband novel Chapter 1126

Chapter 1126 See You Cry
"I can't shake the feeling that Lennon has ulterior motives," Cherise said, furrowing her brow with concern.

Damien's lips curved into a faint smile as he gazed affectionately at the woman on his screen. "How are the strawberries?"

Cherise popped another strawberry into her mouth, savoring it. "They're quite delicious."

"If you like them, I'll tell Otto to get some more for you."

"Don't change the subject," Cherise huffed, her crystal-clear eyes glaring at him. "We're talking about Lennon. Don't think I won't notice if you try to dodge the topic."

Her pouty expression brought a rare warmth to Damien's usually stern features. "You've grown more perceptive."

"Of course!" Cherise retorted, sticking out her lower lip. "I'm a mother of two now—of course, I'm perceptive!"

"Perceptive, you say?" Damien chuckled, not bothering to argue. "Regarding Lenn, I can't tell you much now."

"Why not?" Cherise asked.

"Because you're too close to Lucy," Damien explained, sipping his coffee. "Lucy finally decided to break ties with him, and he's decided to stop pursuing her. You don't want them to keep hurting each other, do you?"

Damien had no easy answers to her questions. He sighed, offering a weak smile. "Things will resolve themselves in time. You've only just regained your memory. Don't overthink things. If you wake up one day and don't recognize me again, I'll be the one crying."

Cherise's eyes sparkled with mischief. "I don't think I've ever seen you cry. Why don't you cry for me now while your office is empty? I promise I won't tell anyone!"

Damien's expression softened into an indulgent smile. "I think you're asking for trouble."

Colin's first meeting went unexpectedly well. With Lennon at his side, no matter how tricky the shareholders' questions were, Colin handled them with ease. By the end of the meeting, although some still doubted Colin, they all held Lennon in high regard.
