Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 675

Susanna was really hurting.

After all, last night had been her first time, and Hull—a big, burly guy—had totally lost control.

The whole “gentleman” thing? Yeah, didn’t seem like he knew what that was.

When Hull caught sight of her teary, doe-eyed look, he came over, sat on the edge of the bed, and just scooped her right up into his arms.

“Ah—!”

The sudden movement pulled at her sore spots, and Susanna couldn’t help but cry out, fresh tears spilling down her cheeks.

God, why was this man so rough?

Hull seemed a bit taken aback when he heard her yelp, his face darkening. “It hurts that bad?”

He’d spent most of his life walking a razor’s edge, getting banged up was par for the course.

So in his mind, what’s a little pain if you aren’t bleeding all over the place?

His cold tone just made Susanna feel even worse. She sniffled and clammed right up, silent except for her sniffles and the steady drip of her tears.

Seeing her cry like that stirred something strange in Hull’s chest—an unfamiliar feeling, something he’d never known before.

And that weird, nagging feeling actually made him reach out, his rough thumb brushing away her tears as they slid down her cheeks.

“It really hurts that much?” His voice was a little softer this time. Not exactly warm, but the chill had faded a bit.

Susanna nodded, sniffling. “Yeah. It really hurts.”

Even moving her legs felt like torture.

She was petite to begin with—whenever she stood next to Stella, it was obvious Stella had a good half a head on her.

Now, cradled in Hull’s arms, with his broad-shouldered frame towering over her, she felt small, like a little kid.

Damp strands of hair were stuck to her flushed face. Hull reached over and tucked them gently behind her ear.

“First time always hurts for a girl. It won’t next time.”

Susanna: “!!!”

Next time it wouldn’t?!

She thought back to last night—Hull’s insane stamina, the fact that he was built like a linebacker—and shuddered.

She was pretty sure that difference was not going anywhere.

So, the idea that it wouldn’t hurt again? That had to be a total lie...

Seeing her suddenly perk up, Hull’s lips quirked into a smile. “I’m the best, huh?”

There was a glimmer in his eyes, the kind that said he was reading way more into her words than she meant. Susanna nodded eagerly. “Yeah, you’re really, really great.”

Flattery will get you everywhere, as they say…

And honestly, it worked—Hull actually looked pleased for once, a real smile flickering in his eyes.

Just as Susanna was about to lay on a few more compliments, Hull’s phone started to ring.

The moment he picked it up, Susanna instinctively tried to wriggle out of his arms, wanting to give him some space.

After all, she’d caused enough trouble lately—enough that Hull’s people were already suspicious she might be some kind of spy.

If she overheard anything private now, they’d probably think she was doing it on purpose.

But as soon as she moved—ouch. The pain was sharp and immediate.

Last night had really been brutal.

If Hull hadn’t caught her just now, she’d have landed face-first on the hardwood floor.

“This call’s fine for you to hear,” Hull said, not even looking up.
