Cross My Tigress Face the Wrath (Stella) novel Chapter 673

Ashley and Lott quickly agreed with Shawn. “Yeah, you gotta make that witch fall for you, man.”

“Only if she falls for you, will any of us have a shot at making it out of this mess alive.”

Otherwise, they were totally screwed.

Like, really screwed.

With Yvonne’s temper, she’d probably go full-on Game of Thrones on them—flaying them alive, little by little.

Xander’s face just kept getting darker.

Shawn tried to sound sympathetic. “Look, I know this is a big ask. But are you really gonna go face Yvonne and fess up right now?”

Ashley: “…”

Lott: “…”

They all turned to Xander, trying—and failing—not to laugh.

Xander looked about ready to explode. “What, you think I’m scared or something?!”

“Okay, so would you dare lay a hand on her?” Shawn shot back, not missing a beat.

Xander: “…”

Now, the room went dead silent.

If Xander went to Yvonne right now and told her it was him she’d slept with last night, things would get ugly. Like, call-the-cops ugly.

If he didn’t fight back, he might not make it out alive.

If he did fight back…

Well, then he’d just be handing himself a restraining order and a nice little record for domestic violence.

Xander glared, breathing hard. Shawn put his hands together in mock prayer. “We know this sucks for you, man.”

It really did suck.

He’d slept with his own wife, for crying out loud, and now he was literally on the run. How did that even make sense?

Xander grumbled, “You’re a real piece of work, you know that?”

Shawn blinked. “Huh?”

“Did you really think running was a good idea?” Xander snapped.

The second Yvonne woke up, these idiots had dragged him out like there was a fire, not even giving him a chance to think.

Now that he had a moment, the more he thought about it, the less sense it made.

This wasn’t something you could just run from! If he’d stayed, okay, Yvonne would’ve lost her temper, but at least they could’ve talked it out.

But now that he’d run for it…

He’d just made everything a hundred times worse.

Xander’s face got even darker as he stewed in his thoughts.

What the hell happened after they left the hotel? Why was Yvonne suddenly going after Dan?

Shawn let out a low whistle. “She’s going full-on mob war?”

Just saying the words made Shawn’s heart race.

Holy crap…

They were lucky they’d gotten out when they did, or Yvonne would’ve gone all Scarface on their sorry butts.

“What’s happening? Why the sudden showdown?” Shawn demanded, heart in his throat.

Yvonne picking a fight—just the thought was enough to give him nightmares.

And now she was actually doing it.

Xander frowned, glancing at Shawn.

Right now, Shawn looked more terrified than if he’d just confessed to sleeping with Yvonne himself, as if he was next on her hit list.

The caller sounded just as confused. “No idea what exactly happened. I think Princess Yvonne got into something last night at The Night Owl.”

“And Princess Stella showed up this morning too. The two of them were holed up in there for over an hour before they left.”

“When they got back to the Quinn estate, Princess Yvonne rounded up her people and went after Dan. No clue what set her off.”

Shawn looked at Xander, his face going pale as a ghost.
