Susanna sniffled and looked at Percy. "Do we have to wait for it to get bigger before we operate?"
Percy nodded. "Yes, though it's not certain if surgery will even be necessary."
Not certain if surgery would be necessary? What did that mean?
If it grew and they still wouldn't operate, did that mean it was a terminal tumor?
Susanna panicked even more and burst into loud sobs. "I'm way too young for this! This can't be happening!"
Hull's face instantly shifted to a deep scowl.
He shot daggers at Percy.
"Wait, what are you guys talking about?" Percy frowned.
He had been so focused on examining Susanna that he had completely zoned out of their previous conversation.
"She's asking about surgery for her tumor," Hull snapped.
"Huh? What tumor?"
Hearing that they were discussing a tumor, Percy froze.
Whenever he worked, he completely tuned out the rest of the world. No matter how loud the environment, nothing could break his concentration.
Once in the zone, he simply ignored all external chatter to focus entirely on the medical task at hand.
His confused question made the air in the cabin freeze once more.
"Are you kidding me..." Hull gritted his teeth.
His patience for both Percy and Barnaby had officially run out.
"Did you guys seriously think she had a tumor in her stomach?" Percy asked in disbelief.
Hull remained silent, simply glaring at the doctor. "Don't look at me like that. It's not a tumor," Percy sighed.
"Then what is it?"
"She's pregnant. We don't have proper equipment on the plane, so she'll need a full checkup at a hospital once we land in Ferrowland."
They had rushed him over in a panic without even explaining what he was supposed to look for.
He didn't have any specialized tools on hand, not even a simple pregnancy test.
"What did you say?" Susanna gasped.
Hearing Percy say she was pregnant left her completely floored.
Beside her, Hull was equally petrified.
Barnaby processed the news for a second before bursting into a fit of hysterical laughter.
Hull shot him a lethal look.
With a livid expression, he once again questioned how he had managed to tolerate the idiot for all these years.
