Claiming His Tempting Mate novel Chapter 31

Avan's POV

"Is everything ready?" Dad asked. I nodded and drove the car towards the familiar gate. Like before the gate was not crowded yet it looks more peaceful. Since the event was already over dad suggested visiting the mysterious person who's called Beau. I don't know if our trip will be satisfying or not but all I could do was hope. Hope to get something to achieve my goal.

"Dad, do you really think that it will work? I mean you have just heard some outdoor rumours about that person and have never encountered him personally. Is he really reliable?" I couldn't help but frown. Though I want it to work, I still have doubts in my heart.

"There's no loss in giving it a try. We will never know if we don't even try this. Besides, do you have any other option?" Dad retorted.

I stayed silent because, in my hand there's no other option at all. How did Savannah find another mate? How come she had the fate of two mates? How come she was so lucky to be able to avoid any calamity? All these things are messing my mind but I couldn't find any answers.

"We are here" dad's voice had brought me back to reality. I parked the car near the closed gate. There was no one at the entrance. Before we had the chance to knock on the door, it suddenly opened revealing a man wearing monk attire.

"How may I help you?" He asked politely.

"This gentleman, we are here to meet Beau" dad replied.

"Oh, you are here to meet Monk Beau? For what reasons? He does not meet anyone without any proper reason" the monk said again.

"Eh, we have been facing some problems for the past few years and have been suffering one after calamity. We didn't have any choice but to seek for monk Beau, when we heard about him. If this gentleman is a little generous and helps us to cure our problems, we will be glad" dad said to him. Well, it was not false either. We are already facing so many problems in our life that it's now becoming hard to survive.

The monk looked at us with narrowed eyes. After inspecting for few more minutes, he finally nodded his head "since this is the case, I need to inform monk Beau first to let him now about you"

"Of course, we are ready to wait," dad smiled. I smiled as I let out a sigh of relief inwardly. At least we finally got the chance to meet that person.

The monk left showing us the sitting area. Tiwan Forest is a silent place, with all green surroundings. Since the event is already over, all the tents have been cleared already and the ground looks even more expanded than before.

"Don't hesitate to ask anything when you meet him. Remember it's your only chance and for a person like him, I don't think we will get another chance after this" dad said with a serious face.

I nodded "I understand dad. They have been keeping the identity of this person deeply and were not intended to let us meet him. Looks like this person called Beau is really a rare figure for Tiwan Forest"

"There are many mysteries that we don't know. But when we get a chance, we should not leave it no matter what. We need to grasp it as much as we can"

I nodded my head again. What he said is right. It's not like we will get another chance like this. Soon the monk walked back and informed us about Beau and said we can meet him now. He led us towards the small hut which was built a little far from the other house of the forest. There were two lanterns hanging outside and the monk pushed the door before looking at us.

"You can go inside, he is waiting for you" he said before leaving silently.

Dad and I looked at each other before stepping inside the hut. The space was small but there were few lanterns that lit up. There was a small table and a white crystal globe placed on the table. An old looking man, covered in wrinkles, looked at us.

"Come, have a seat" he pointed towards the two chairs placed before the table.

"Monk Beau, we are -" dad started but was cut in the middle.

"I know why you two are here. You don't need to explain it" monk Beau replied.

"Please give us some solution" dad pleaded.

Monk Beau looked at the crystal globe then his eyes landed on us "solution? there's none" he shook his head.

I was startled when I heard that. There's no solution?

"But how could that be? Monk Beau, there must be something. There must be some way" I shook my head not wanting to believe.

"You can't change heaven's wish child. You have got your chance but it was ruined by yourself. Now you want to find solutions?" He laughed.

"Monk Beau, it was all our fault that we let the diamond slip by without knowing its importance. But now it's not only about us, but about our whole pack. We need to find solutions for all the people living in our pack, you have to help us" dad said with a concerned voice.

Hearing this Monk Beau looked at the crystal globe again. He chanted something then looked at us "there's something, what you want has been grabbed by another one. A woman fated to have two destiny is rare, since you lost the chance, the other one grabbed it, took a firm hold with a determination to never let it go"

"Why did someone have two fortunes?" Dad asked.

"It's not a choice made by us people, but it was a choice made by heaven. You can't change it, it's just you were blind to see the truth. That woman was born in a fortunate moment. That's why she has good luck. But she is now where she belongs to"

I clenched my fist. No, Savannah is mine, and I can't let her become someone else's. She has to be mine.

"Is there no way?" I asked him.

"There is" Monk Beau nodded but his face was serious "the only way to turn your fate is to end the other destiny but...."

"But what?" I frowned.

"But....it seems it's also impossible," he laughed out loud. His laughing is like a mocking arrow piercing my heart.

So the only way is to kill Hardwick. I have faced him and he seems stronger than me. But everyone has their own weakness and once I get it, I can finally turn over my own fate and bring Savannah back to Bright Shine pack.

We left Tiwan Forest after that. Though meeting Beau didn't give us advantages as we thought, it's good that we got to know some things. Now I need to find a way to bring that Alpha on his knees.

"I know what you are thinking but I suggest you think rationally rather than rushing things" dad said as I parked the car in front of the pack house.

"Don't worry dad. I won't rush things this time"

"Good, now think about how to deal with Reese. She has caused great trouble for us already. And if it goes like this then..." He turned to give me a look "you know what I mean"

"Yes" I nodded.

We walked inside and saw mom rushing towards us. She looked anxious and worried.

"What happened?" Dad frowned.

"Alpha, Avan" mom called out "something happened"

"Mom, what happened?" I asked her.

She looked at me and said something that almost flipped the ground beneath me.

"Reese is pregnant"

I nodded.

She turned to look at Hardwick "please take care of her Hardwick"

"I can assure you. I will keep her happy and won't let you hear any complain" he replied.

Mom smiled then turned to me and pulled me for a hug "I will miss you darling, so much"

My eyes brimming with tears and I hugged back "I will miss you mom" I sobbed.

"Remember your promise" I heard dad say to Hardwick. "If anything happens to her then I will take her back and never let you see her again"

"I will never let that happen," Hardwick replied calmly.

Dad nodded and turned to me with a smile "will miss you princess. No matter what happens just remember that your dad is still here"

"Thanks dad" I hugged him and sobbed. I can't stop myself from crying. It's really painful to leave them behind.

"You are really going?" Dev walked forward. His face was pale and sullen.

I nodded weakly.

He let out a sigh before glaring at Hardwick "you better keep your promise or I will hunt you down if you make her cry. I won't even care if you are a alpha or not"

"You can be assured on this point" Hardwick replied calmly.

"Call me if you need anything okay" Dev said, focusing his attention on me and clearly ignoring Hardwick. "You know that I will always be there for you right?"

"I know you will" I hugged him. My brother, he is Possessive and arrogant but he is still that charming and loving bro I could ever ask for.

"Let me hug her too. You can't take all the attention leaving me here" Tanea said pushing Dev away.

"I will miss you Sav. So much that it hurts" Tanea almost cried. We have been like best friends and spend a lot of time together. Teamed up to tease Dev and have so much fun. Once I leave, will I be able to make such memories again?

"Okay, there's lots of crying now. She is going to build her own world and we should encourage her with a happy face" mom said, breaking our crying moment.

"Yeah, right" Tanea broke the hug and wiped the corner of her eyes. We walked outside and Hardwick pulled the bags with him and dropped it inside his car before looking back at me.

"He is waiting for you dear. I can see the excitement in his eyes" mom smiled at me "as I said, we will always be there for you whenever you need us. All you have to do is remember this words" she cupped my face lovingly "go, your future is waiting for you"

"Thanks mom" I whispered, then I swapped my eyes over those people who had been my family and my loved ones. And today I have to leave them to live with my mate. But that does not mean our bond will weaken. Distance does not make bonds weak but with each passing time it gets stronger. I blew kisses to them before turning around.

Once I settled inside the car, I turned to look at my family again. I smiled and waved at them. They stood there watching me with a smile yet moistened eyes. Even though I made up my mind and was determined to keep it strong, I couldn't hold back my tears. Hardwick started the engine and I heard his faint voice.

"This is the last time I am letting you cry like this"
