Reese's POV

*CRASH* 

I watched the floor which was covered in shattered prices of antics in the room. But my anger did not lesen yet it feels like with each passing second it's increasing. My chest was burning like a fire and it's about to explode like lava. 

"Fuck you Avan" I screamed pulled my hair roughly. 

"Reese '' Mom's scream echoed in the room and I felt her  footsteps behind me. 

"What's all these? What do you think you are doing?" She gasped. 

I turned around quickly "what do you want me to do mom? Do I have any choice? Avan does not want to believe me yet he was giving me a disgusting look" 

"How many times I have to remind you that no you can't use violence to achieve anything" she frowned "have you ate everything I taught you since childhood?" 

"Mom, this time the situation is different. I saw the way he was looking at me. Earlier even if the matter was big he never looked at me in that way. He was looking at me like ...like he was feeling disgusted with me, like he regretted everything that happened between us" I shook my head violently "no, I can never accept the fact of Avan hating me. If he started to feel like this then that bitch with take him away from me" 

"Nothing will happen like that" Mom patted my shoulder "you are overthinking. Maybe right now Avan is angry and maybe he is disappointed a little but there's no way he will hate you. And even if something goes wrong, don't you have your last card to use?" 

I looked at her. I almost forgot about that thing. But even if I have it, thinking of Avan avoiding me hurts. For him, just to be with him, I have given my mate bond away. I had to sacrifice my real mate just to be with Avan. Suddenly John's smiling face flashed in my mind. He was handsome and strong but I have already given up so there's no point in thinking about him. I shook my head. 

"Reese" mom.shook me making me look at her. 

"What?" I 

"I have been talking to you. Where are you so lost?" She frowned. 

"Nothing" I shook my head "what were you saying?" 

"I was asking where were you lying outside back in the camp? You are not someone who will do such a thing. Avan was accusing you so there must be some reason" 

I pursed my lips. No one knew about it but I also know mom won't let it go unless I tell her everything. Besides, I need to tell her the actual reason so that she could help me with it. I sighed and sat down on bed. 

"I found my mate in the event" I replied slowly. 

"You found your mate?" Mom looked confused at first then her eyes widened "you ..what? Your real mate?" She gasped loudly. 

I nodded. 

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She rushed and sat beside me "what happened? Who is he?" 

"His name was John and he was a beta. He was handsome and also strong" 

"You..... Your mate is beta? 

"Yes" I couldn't help but think about John. On that day he looked so hurt when he was rejecting me. I knew it was best for us. I haven't saved my virginity for my mate but devoted myself to another male. Besides, even if I went with him, I would not be able to live with him happily. From the start I have always admired Avan and wanted to be with him, even knowing that he is not my mate. 

"What did you do?" Mom asked again. 

"Our bond is broken mom" I sighed. Even if I don't want him, he was my mate, the real one. 

"You....Reese, does that mean that you went through the rejection pain on that night?" Mom held my hand as she asked. 

It still felt so painful. I couldn't utter a word but just nodded my head. 

"Oh, my poor girl" she pulled me for a hug. "I know it hurts. But darling, if you want to..." 

"No" I stopped her, before she could finish talking. "I have already decided mom, I can't back away now" I broke the hug and stood up "since childhood I have been dreaming of myself sitting in the position of Luna. I can never back away from it after working this hard" 

"Are you sure?" Mom asked. 

"Yes, besides if I went with John, he would still be living as beta and that was the fact that will never change, no matter what. I can't back away from my goal after coming this far" I clenched my fist. No matter how much it hurts, I won't give up what I have right now. I need to clear the misunderstanding between Avan and me first. I can't wait anymore. 

"I want to meet Avan" I mumbled "I have to see him now" I said and turned around to walk towards the door. 

"Reese, you can't go right now. It's not appropriate right now" mom protested. 

"I am not going to stay here. He has to listen to me. I can't risk anymore" I barked and was about to walk when I saw dad walking inside the room. He looked at the mess then towards me. 

"Where are you going?" He asked. 

"I am going to meet Avan" 

"You are not going anywhere" he shook his head. 

"Why?" I frowned "why can't I meet him? I have to go to him so that I can clear the misunderstanding between us" I stepped forward only to be blocked by dad. 

"Didn't you hear what I said?" 

"Dad, please. I need to meet Avan" I almost pleaded. 

"No, you are not going anywhere" he said through gritted teeth "You are going to stay in here, in your room like an obedient girl. And I don't want any argument" 

I clenched my fist "no, I have to meet him" 

"He is not here" 

I frowned. Not here? Then where is he?

"Where did he go? I have to talk to him" I tried to push dad away and walk towards the door. But before I could reach dad grasped my arm and pulled me back. 

"I SAID YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE" 

I jumped in shock when dad roared suddenly. He always was a gentle one and never raised his voice. But today he shouted at me, for the first time. 

"Farid, what are you doing?" Mom asked from behind. 

"Come one, let's have some tea time, Sav will be leaving soon and I don't know when I can see her again. That man is too possessive, he even didn't even let Sav hug Dev" Tanea laughed. I felt blush a crawling on my face. 

"Don't tease her like that" mom said but she has a teasing look on her face. 

Mom, are you even on my side? 

Tanea dragged us outside where she set a small tea table in the garden. We settled outside and poured tea for ourselves. 

"I have ordered this popular Yorkshire Tea, just for today" Tanea raised her tea cup grinning. 

"You really worked hard on this planning," mom replied. 

Tanea nodded "I had to, I am bored here. And now that Sav will be going with her mate, I will be lonely here" she pouted her lips. 

"Did you forget that you have a mate here, woman" 

Tanea rolled her eyes and I chuckled loudly. Mom smirked as she took a sip on her tea. Soon Devak came into view looking totally pissed. 

"What did you say just now?" He aske, looking at Tanea. 

"Can't I have a peaceful tea moment for sometime?" Tanea replied to him.

"Woman, don't taste my patience here" Devak frowned. 

"Oh you still have patience? I thought you didn't know the meaning of that word" Tanea mocked. 

"This tea tastes good," Mom said, placing the tea cup on the table. 

I chuckled again and took a sip. 

"Why are you all having tea here?" Dev asked. 

"Sav will be leaving soon so I thought to have some girls time and ordered this Yorkshire Tea for it" Tanea said pointing towards the tea. 

Something flashed in his eyes before he looked away. He didn't say anything but silently walked away. I looked at his back and suddenly I felt sourness rising in my heart. Teasing him was the best thing I do when I get bored but he never complained about it. Once I leave, won't I miss this, him, getting angry or teasing him? 

Mom sighed "he is really sad" she looked at the way where Dev disappeared. "He even argued with Micah not to let you go" 

I gasped "he did?" I couldn't believe it. Dev really did it? 

Mom chuckled "your dad scolded him so much" 

Tanea smiled "he was sulking all night" 

I shook my head but my eyes suddenly got watery. Oh god, I am really going to leave the pack. With each passing time, it's making my heart race with nervousness and also excitement. I don't know what I am going to do. On one hand It's painful to look at the sadness of my family and on the other hand my mate, my destiny waiting for me with open arms. 

I looked at the sky and cursed down. Fuck, being a girl is really a hard to live specially when it's time to chose.
